Buprenorphine is an opioid used to treat opioid use disorder, acute pain, and chronic pain.[8] It can be used under the tongue (sublingual), in the cheek (buccal), by injection (intravenous and subcutaneous), as a skin patch (transdermal), or as an implant.[8][9] For opioid use disorder, it is typically started when withdrawal symptoms have begun and for the first two days of treatment under direct observation of a health-care provider.[...

It is supposed to be generic for suboxan its In a little plastic container. Its square in shape 1 inch by 1 inch the color is red ## I am looking for a pharmacy that prescribes suboxone 8-2 strips that takes the savings card because my insurance no longer covers suboxone of ANY TYPE. What is the least amount I can pay for the strips, as I hate the tabs, and what pharmacy. I am in Louisville KY. Thanks a bunch for any replies!! ## Use the app/website called GoodRx. You can type in any medication name to find out the prices at all of the pharmacies near you. ## Jim, yes, those are the active ingredients in Suboxone, so what you've received is a generic form of it. It is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction. Brooklyn, pharmacies do no prescribe medications, only a doctor can...

I have been on suboxone treatment program for 7 years and I have been on the Amneal AN 415 generic tablets ever since they removes the name brand. I live in Clarke county Alabama. I have recently been switched to the Actavis white 155 round pills and I hate them. I am not able to find the AN 415 Amneal tablets anywhere that I have found???? Anyone know a place that has them around me?? I'll even travel for them cause I work construction already and usually am traveling alot anyway??? Any info will be greatly appreciated ## I had the same problem when my pharmacy switched manufacturers. Because Actavis brand contains a filler ingredient which Amneal does not, I became so sick. I had to switch to the film/strips and they were much better. Maybe you can ask dr to write for films? Good ...

I get 2 strips of Buprenorphine/Naloxone daily. 8mg. Been on about 2 yrs. Anyone else get a rash from these? What is in these that would cause this? Was on pain management for years but that became a nightmare and way too much work with all new laws. I was on for 30 plus yrs. Subs are much easier to get a monthly script for. What's up with the 2 yr rash? I drink 8 or 9 waters a day. I'm not dehydrated. Not a sub fan at all but they do the job. Anyone else get a constant rash from the strips? Don't bother saying I could stop them. Had 6 yrs sober, plus the subs keep me out of prison. I tried every lotion cream available. I have to grease my hands every night and wear gloves to bed as my hands cracked so bad. So, back to the rash. Any info please? Thanx. ## What kind of rash a...

Buprenorphine/naloxone, sold under the brand name Suboxone among others, is a fixed-dose combination medication that includes buprenorphine and naloxone.[2] It is used to treat opioid use disorder, and reduces the mortality of opioid use disorder by 50% (namely by reducing the risk of overdose on full-agonist opioids such as heroin or fentanyl).[2][4][5] It relieves cravings to use and withdrawal symptoms.[6] Bupr...

I took this medicine to get off of Hydrocodone. I don't even take a quarter of a whole one a day. I usually take a sliver about a quarter of an inch or less a day and that's all. I have been taking this small amount for about a yr. maybe a little longer? My question is I want to get off this now as well and be 100% clean. Im worried about withdrawal and need info to combat any withdrawal I may have especially the Mental aspect of the withdrawal. I take xanax by prescription and have no desire to quit taking it. I take the Xanax for other problems that came about long before any other addictions. So I would like some advice to get off Suboxone once and for all with the least amount of Mental symptoms, other meds I could use, proven home remedies, or anything proven to work? I fee...

I have been on Zubsolv, Suboxone, of all doses, for years now. I have reached the point to where my Zubsolv will take literally hours to dissolve and once it finally does dissolve to some extent..enough for me to swallow at least, I have no way of getting it to completely dissolve. So I have to eat with the medicine still very much still in my mouth and throat. Despite using extra water, to try and help the process along, etc. This takes up a great deal of my mornings. Plus I have crohns disease and have much difficulty swallowing in the first place. So I'm simply unable to get anything down. All the way or even more than just past my throat. I have diarrhea as well with this medication and have had many bowel blockages that I have no doubt are due in part to the way the swallowed Z...

I was prescribed and took Suboxone Films for 3 years, and tolerated them very well. Unfortunately, my insurance stopped paying for the films, and I had to start taking the generic Suboxone tablets (Buprenorphine/Naloxone 8/2mg sublingual tablets). I filled my first prescription at Rite Aid, where they gave me the hard, orange tablets made by "Amneal", with the imprint "AN 415". I went into withdrawal the second day after beginning those pills. That was the worst month of my life, as that medication did absolutely nothing beneficial. This month, I took my prescription to CVS, where I was given peach colored tablets with the imprint of "54 375", manufactured by "Roxane". While this brand is slightly better than the Amneal brand, I am still having adverse ef...

I've been taking 30mg of Methadone for a few months. I've had 3 severe back surgeries and started taking the Methadone until I could get into pain management. I had a medial nerve block yesterday and I also only took 10mgs of Methadone yesterday, too. The pain Dr. wrote me the Butrans 5mcg/hr patch. It's Buprenorphine, i suppose like Subutex without Naloxone. I'm in a lot of pain today, but scared that if I apply the patch i will go into withdrawal. Please help if anyone truly knows what's best. ## Well, i took 10 mg the day of my medial nerve block, they gave me some xanax for future cervical blocks. It had been 30hrs no methadone, so I applied the 5mcg/hr block along with a flexeril and 2mg xanax and slept. Got some sweats, don't feel the greatest this morning,...

I am dreaming out. I have been on buprenorphine/naloxone for a few years. A brief interlude with the "Roxanne" brand (doctor said it was b/c of the surgery I had last year). Found myself in the east coast due to a family emergency and my script ran out. The doctor here prescribed buprenorphine and was fully aware I needed suboxone. Went to fill it at CVS and instead of the orange tablets which I quite like and works very well I was given as mentioned and the pill is white with an M and underneath that it has (I think) 924. Is this suboxone? Unlike everyone on here I liked the Orange tablets which they still give in California. The films did not work as well for me. I hope I am freaking out for nothing. The 2 seemed to be spelled the same exact for the buprenorphine has an e on t...

What is the difference between buprenorphine 8 mg and 8.2 mg? Thank you. ## There is a medication called Subutex that solely contains Buprenorphine, so you would only see the single dosage for it. However, Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so it would list 2 dosages, one of the most common of which contains 8mgs of the opiate and 2mgs of the Naloxone. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Thus, I think you may be looking at 8/2mgs, rather than 8.2 What are the markings on the tablet in question? ## Buprenorphine 8mg I subutex buprenorphine 8/2mg Is actually suboxone 8mg buprenorphine and 2mg naloxone there are strips that come in 2,4,8,12 mg by t...

From the prescription drug community website, next to the listed drug, Suboxone, was the word 'Buprenorphine'. Is this the generic drug for Suboxone? ## No what your husband has is generic subutex. It is buprenorphine alone. Suboxone has naloxone in it also. Their is no generic suboxone yet. Generic subutex is alot cheaper, but doctors dont like to prescribe it. I wish they would. People who are really addicts cant afford suboxone. ## That is correct, Buprenorphine is the active opioid ingredient in Suboxone, but it also contains Naloxone, to help prevent the abuse of other opiates, while being treated with it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ...

Hello I was on methodone from three years I started with 110 mg in the last 10 months I've whe send myself down to 60 mg of methodone to switch to buprenorphine. It's been 5 days on it and I still don't know how much to take, I can't sleep at night at all, no appetite, I'm extremely depressed and in need of immidiately advice I texted my doctor and all he said is go to the ER please help!! ## Hello, Naomi! How are you doing? Are you on straight Buprenorphine or are you on the generic for Suboxone that also contains Naloxone? What dosage are you currently taking? What dosage did your doctor prescribe? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation. ## I was...

I had been taking suboxone for over 4 years but was recently switched to the buprenorphine without the naloxone because of my severe renal impairment. This also causes me a lot of nausea and vomiting, so the switch actually helped me a lot, but still these pills I get at my pharmacy are so big I have issues getting them down properly. I know they discontinued the really tiny ones, but does anyone know of a manufacturer who is currently making a smaller version? I'm currently taking the RP/b8 ones. I'm supposed to get my refill in a few days and I'd really like to switch, so any thoughts or info on this would be helpful, thank you! ## You're supposed to take them sublingual not swallow (suck them under tongue till they dissolve) hold in your mouth for about 10 minutes. I am prescribed two 8mg buprenorphine (subutex) tablets per day as I am deathly allergic to Naloxone in the combination medications like Suboxone and Bunavail. I have, at times had trouble getting my prescription filled locally. Sometimes the pharmacy I use regularly doesn't have them all, especially when I get a full month script, and of course, I find myself running back and forth to and from the pharmacy to pick up small pieces of my prescription. I left a daily dosing program to attend a once monthly clinic because I could not afford the trips back and forth. At times, I have to run to the pharmacy 3-4 times per week and it's approximately 70 miles round-trip from my home to the pharmacy, and on top of that, the clinic I go to is now enforcing once per week counseling so tha...

Hello All, I recently just got changed from suboxone to subutex due to a pretty bad allergic reaction to the naloxone in the suboxone. Basically my question for everyone is which generic do you guys prefer? My pharmacist can order any kind for me so at the moment I just got the Roxanne ones 8mg - they are white round tablets. This is my first day using and am already noticing my migraines are starting to subside, not fully, but starting to. So yeah if anyone has any suggestions please let me know all the ups and downs that you guys have been experiencing, thanks! Good luck to one and all! D ## I may not have personal experience with either of these generics, but I did want to go ahead and link you to a couple other threads here with more information on other Subutex reviews: Discuss/can...

i take suboxen regularly but at times i run out i have naloxone .5 would it be safe to substitue ## They are not exactly the same, because Suboxone actually contains 2 active ingredients, along with the Naloxone, it contains the narcotic Buprenorphine, which is how it helps prevent withdrawals. I am seeking help. I am from the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. I am an addict of 18 years. It is time to quit. I have friends who have left the addiction circle. They have successfully taken buprenorphine. Here is my problem. I am severely allergic to the blocker in suboxone - naloxone. It is not an option for me. I have a dear friend who gave me her remaining subutex tablets. She tapered off and is clean and doing well now. I have been clean for 1 week which is a PHENOMENAL accomplishment for me! I am afraid of what will happen if I cannot find a doctor who will prescribe the subutex. Please, will someone out there lead me in the direction of a Physician/MD/Doctor that will write me Subutex? I have called so many places. I have tried naabt.org, suboxone.com and other directorie...

I have heard some horror stories about the effecta of taking Naloxone containing products long term. I have heard people say they had negative neurological effects from it as well as severe depression and other problems. I have also heard that Naloxone sucks all of the natural endorphins out of your body too. Doctors are really quick to prescribe a Naloxone/Buprenorphine combination product but never seem to be able to answer what the long/lifetime effects of Naloxone truly are. Has any research been conducted on the long term use of Naloxone? I am very concerned because it is nearly impossible to get a medication for drug addiction in this state that does not contain some amount of Naloxone. Since we are forced to take this medication, I think it is time we are told the truth about wha...
