Qsymia side effects after break

I was on Qsymia for about 16 months with no side effects. I lost 40 pounds at that time. I took a break for about a year and recently in the last 3 months I gained 18 pounds back. I came back to Qsymia but I had terrible side effects. Headaches, ear noise, dizziness. I have been taking it for six weeks and I only have lost 2 pounds during the first two weeks. Right now, I am not losing or gaining any weight. I still feel a dizzy and a little ear fullness. What do you think has changed? Why Qsymia is not working any more and why do I have side effects that I did not have before? ## Time changes everything, including our reactions to medications, sometimes people even discover that they've suddenly developed an allergy to a medication that they had no problem taking for many years. Ho...

Qsymia not working after brain tumor removal

I was on qsymia, it worked great. I lost 45lbs. I had a tumor that was noncancerous and started back taking it because I gained some weight from the steroids. However the qsymia stopped working. What else can I take or do to jump-start my weight loss? ## Hello, Tracy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? While medical science has made great strides recently, and our knowledge of the workings of the human body is always growing, unfortunately, we don't, and maybe will never, know everything. My sister had a benign tumor that was causing seizures, things went...

Qsymia Questions

When does it stop working as well as an appetite suppressant and why does your weight loss slow down? ## Hello, Lauren! How are you? Our bodies eventually get used to any medication that we take regularly for a long period of time, which causes them to stop working as well for us. There's no precise time frame that can be given though, because it can vary from person to person. Regardless of the method used to lose weight, there is almost always a plateau that you hit, at some point. Your body also gets used to whatever you're doing to spur it, such as a medication, or exercise and weight loss can slow down, unless you change something to ramp it back up, such as changing your exercise routine, your diet, or the medication that you're taking. The FDA lists Qysmia's typic...

Qsymia has quit working

I am going to a clinic who is prescribing me a combination of phentermine and topamax. Initially I went to them about 2 years ago and this combination allowed me to lose about 30 pounds like magic. The weight just fell off! I went on maintenance and maintained the weight well. I weaned myself off the medication and was increasing my exercise because I was concerned about gaining the weight back. Then I hurt my hip and had to set a lot, plus as a Realtor the market was as such that required me to do a lot of prospecting to get business so I was on the phone and computer a lot...so a lot of sitting. I ended up putting on 10 lbs before I knew it. I gained it so fast! So I went back to my Diet Clinic and the Phentermine and Topamax isn't working now??? What do you think has changed? Do ...

Doctor to prescribe Qsymia in the Dunn NC area

Need a DR in the Dunn, North Carolina area to prescribe QSYMIA. BCBS insured, meet all BMI requirements. My family physician will not prescribe diet meds. ## The only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a new doctor and see if they will prescribe it for you. Usually if you call them and ask over the phone, they are reticent to say whether they will, or will not prescribe anything, because they are afraid they might be dealing with a drug seeker. I know that's not what you're doing, I am just letting you know about the reaction you might get, if you ask for a specific medication, and aren't a current patient. You can, however, ask if they accept your insurance. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, ...
