Urine Test For Opiates - Failed Test

I was prescribed oxys and did a ua for po in his office. My test results came back positive for opiates and negative for oxycodone. How is that possible, due to molecular similarities of the two drugs with a simple ua test? I was sent to jail for these test results.

Oxys are a opiate!!!oxycoden are opiats..same as morphen...oxys are percecets...but dude they arrested you for nothing..

Although you did have a prescription... You usually aren't allowed to consume narcotics or certain other meds, while on probation. If you have a serious illness, which would require these strong meds, you can get permission BEFORE HAND!! I hate that you went to jail, but on probation I wouldn't take ANY unforeseeable risk without consulting w/my p,, or a supervised firs!!! An,, the tests done by most PO's aren't the good ones. They don't always test for quote *Oxycodone. They check for more generalized med groups... Such as opiates (oxycodone, morphine, lortab, etc.)
So please ask first next time. I truly am sorry you already went to jail, but I hope this info is somehow useful in the future.
