This is something called Subutex, it has 8mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. It is used to help people detox from opiates such as vicodin, percocet, lortab, etc. The bupreorphone is used to help the withdrawal symptoms and the naloxone is to prevent a person from abusing the bupreoprphone, such as crushing it and snorting it or taking too many.

umm... sorry but you are wrong. Subotex is a WHITE pill, that is oblong shaped and small. The orange pill that is shaped like a stop sign that you found is called a suboxen, which is an opiate blocker. Subotex is a varied form of the orange pill, that most pregnant women get prescribed, as it allows them to still take pain medicine throughout pregnancies. So i hate to burst your bubble, but whoever wrote it was subotex is wrong as can be. You might want to know your facts, before you reply. They go for 20 bucks a piece too, so find a junkie, and treat ur hubby to a nice dinner... :)

and the withdrawl from suboxen is worse than heroin. Id rather come off of pain pills any day of the week. The clinics that prescribe these pills charge 350 dollars to get seen, then give you 120 pills, and they cost 8 dollars a piece in a pharmacy. So who are they helping? I've seen women on their knees for suboxen, with a mouth full of man meat. And one last thing, dont ask questions on here, without expecting ignorant people like nenene to give you wrong info. Suboxen are ORANGE.... Subotex are WHITE, so try to get ur facts straight, before offering facts at all.

Okay, to clear this up, the part of nenene's post that was incorrect was calling it Subutex.

The tablet in question is actually Suboxone, it contains 8mgs of Buprenorphine and 2mgs of Naloxone.

Learn more Suboxone details here.

Subutex and its generics only contain Buprenorphine.

sub-guy was describing just one tablet on the market, when there are quite a few available and contrary to his post, Suboxone contains more than just an opiate blocker, since it contains both the Buprenorphine and the Naloxone.

Are there any other questions or comments?

Re: sub_guy (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

You come across as an arrogent ass. You cut others down with your attitude, yet you arent completely correct yourself. Women are given SUBUTEX while pregnant because naloxone is an unneeded risk to the fetus. Women shouldn't take opiods during pregnancy, but if they needed to, it wouldn't make a difference because naloxone doesn't make any difference. It is the bupe that blocks pain meds. Suboxone is just preferred because it has the illusion of safety, while in fact, they are just putting a toxic unneeded substance in the patients body that will make it harder to reverse an ove4dose if one occurs.
