Non Active Brown Pills?

i take the birth control Loestrin 24 Fe. there are24 active white pills and 4 brown not active pills. iam on my first pack of pills and im in my second week. i guess my question is if i have unprotected sex while taking the brown non active pills-- can i get pregnant?

No, the active pills prevent ovulation, so you are still protected for the entire month, even when taking the inactive pills, as long as you haven't missed any tablets.

In actuality, you can completely skip taking pills that are completely inactive, if you wish. The only reason they are put in there is to help women stay in the habit of taking the pill daily, so they don't forget.

Hi, i am on my first pack of loestrin and i am very good at taking my pills everyday at the same exact time. I am now on my 2nd day of the brown pills and i have not gotten my period yet and i had unprotected sex last night. I need to know if i could be pregnant. PLEASE HELP!

Hello, I have been taking Loestrin 24FE for a few years, but I’m very worried that I am pregnant because I had unprotected sex (no pulling out) during the third day of the brown pills. I’m extremely concerned because I missed a white pill one week ago so I took two white pills the next day. Are the chances high enough that I should I use a backup pill? Also, my period is pretty light right now. Please help, or if you know of any facts about having unprotected sex during the brown pills will also be helpful. Thank you!

Ok, my last period ended on march 7, I am on BC. This is my 3rd month on it, and I had two days before the brown pills were up. I went off for a week to renew my perscription, and no period within these past few weeks. Starting sunday, I started taking the white pilss again. Note that the sex was unprotected and he pulled out. I took a pregnancy test last thursday and it was negative, could i still be pregnant?
