Bleeding On Active Pills
UpdatedI have been taking Microgestin 1/20 for 6 months. I have not missed a pill or taken one late in over 2 months. My period usually comes heavily when I stop taking the active pills (there are no placebos in the pack, instead you get your period the 7 days you don't take the pill after the 21 active pills) and lasts 4-6 days of those 7. A little over a week after having unprotected sex (besides the pill) I began to bleed with 4 active pills left. It bleed like my period it was heavy and I went through about 2 tampons and 2 pads a day, and lasted 4 days. The bleeding lasted the last 4 active pills and then when I stopped for those 7 days my period was not present. Is it possible that I'm pregnant? I was taking Fluconazole (for a mild yeast infection) at the time that my Gyno prescribed me and she did not warn me of any possible interference with my birth control. It's been over 2 weeks since I had sex, I haven't had any obvious symptoms of pregnancy and I researched fluconazoles effect on microgestin and I found reports that it actually increases the effects of microgestin specifically. Is this why I'm bleeding at a weird time?
