Ivomec

My immune system has been severely challenged for many years. I believe demodex, as well as harvest mites has completely taken over my body, as I have small, round, white spots that now will not go away. The white spots have been on my person for years. When I go to speak to doctors, they politely inform me, "It's in your head"! Well, the small, round, numerous spots all over my body, mostly on arms and legs, are there, and will not even sun tan when I'm out of doors. I have found a way to keep the demodex, up until recently, and now, I've gone from a full head of hair, to being able to see my scalp on, the crown of my head. I am 66 years old, having 18 things wrong with me, physically, mentally and emotionally. I am, however a researcher and know what I have found.

My question are, would ivomec medication and what other anti mite medication is best to kill, remove both inside and outside of the body, those mites I've spoken about? I am also a Vietnam Veteran, and I have pictures of other veterans in the Vietnam War, with all the same symptoms I have as well. And of course, the local peoples had the same as well as other marks on their bodies as well. Thanks for any of your help you can give, without informing me about it's all in my head No, it's in my body and in my head, literally.

I know it’s been several years, but thought I’d add my experience since I’ve been working with the same problem for 2 years now and have used a variety of treatments I have found online. Last year, I read in a forum, that to rid yourself of the demodex mites, one must “heal the gut.” Since I have Lupus, which is an auto immune disease, and I have had problems with absorption for my whole life, this made sense to me. I started taking L-glutamine and HCL, but had to stop the HCL a few months in due to nausea. Which, may be a good sign that my body is starting to heal. While this helped immensely, I still use several things topically that I rotate. Namely castor oil (which is soothing for my eyes and does kill the demodex, and I use all over my face and where needed elsewhere on my body) tea tree oil, Neems oil and baking soda face scrubs. Castor oil is the only thing I use of the above list in my eyes. I usually use at least 2 of the above on my face. Seems to work better for me using a combination. (Need to mention that I have had 2 bouts of Blepharitis where a doctor put me on an optic antibiotic and many times, almost getting it. I use green tea bags to help. They work very well for me and soothe my eyes. Also, zinc ointment helps heal). I also found a vapo rub works well for me along my eye lashes. When I first started to get the symptoms of demodex infestation, I kept think there are just too many and they are everywhere!! I really need something that gets them
from within. About 6 months ago, I read about Ivermectin working on mange for dogs, cats, cattle, etc. Since I was getting a bit depressed by my hair thinning (I always had thick hair) I reasoned that it might be worth a try. But, then I forgot about it for a while until I saw Dr Ardis on a program. He was saying that parasites living in the gut can cause auto immune disease, which leads to susceptibility to more parasites. It sounded reasonable, and worth a try. So, I’m trying. I have seen an improvement, but I understand that this may take a few years to get under control. Praying you are doing well.

Hi Cherry,

Sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing with demodex. However, with regards to treatment options, Ivomec (ivermectin) is listed as an injectable parasiticide for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites of "cattle and swine". For this reason, it is sold under 'pet supplies'. Are you sure that this veterinary medication is appropriate for human use as well?

Personally, I would suggest doing some research on Oregano Essential Oil, as this is heavily regarded as a potent natural remedy for intestinal parasites, worms, and other things of that nature. This particular oil is generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption, but I think caution should be taken with regards to it's sheer potency. In my opinion, it is usually best to dilute it 50/50 (with a couple drops of hemp seed or olive oil) until you get a better feel for it's effects. Another suggestion would be to topically apply lavender essential oil with lotion or another oil for additional relief on your skin or hair. You might be surprised at just how effective these oils can really be.

I hope this advice helps!
