How Strong Is A 5mg Oxycodone Pill

I am taking 5mg (blue tablet) twice a day for back discomfort. I’ve been on it for quite s while I would say couple of yrs. I want to know if it can cause me to have a seizure every so often. They can’t find out any cause for them. I have no history of them or no one else in my family has seizures. I never ever had them before. I also get hot flushes through my whole body that last about 5 minutes or so every once in awhile. I want to go off them. How do I go about it. Is there a pill less strength than 5 mg(oxycodone).

That is the lowest strength that I am aware is available, though if it is a regular release formulation, you should be able to cut it to lower the dosage, with your physician's approval.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

As to seizures, it is possible, though not common. Have they responded to any medications? Have they done any brain scans?

Are you on any other medications?

I have had MRI’s, brain scans and every
possible test there is. I haven’t had one for 1 and a half yrs. then had one after. I also have odd focal seizure. I don’t know what could be cause. I’m going off my oxycodoe 5 with pharmacist guidance.
