I had uternine cancer stage 1, and just had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. I was surprised , since I am very healthy and take vitamins, do not drink, or have ever smoked. I was under severe stress for many years though.

I had terrible pain if I even attempted sex. I had migranes, and had to lay down after doing exercise.
(migrane medication can give you a heart attack, and more women die of heart than all cancers combined)
i am 61 years old, and just couldn't stand the thought of never enjoying sex again. I finally asked a doctor for Estrotest or generically estrogen methyltestos h.s and within about 1 week, I FELT GREAT. I then started to feel almost too good, and kind of "jumpy" great feeling.

So I now have in down to 1/2 pill every other day, and will see about if sex is painful. If I do, I will take 1/2 pill everyday.

I want to say that I had a mammogram, no breast cancer in my family, and I RATHER HAVE SEX AND FEEL 100 TIMES better and chance a slight chance of breast cancer.

I believe doctors should listen to their patients, and we know out bodies pretty well after 60 years.

I recommend it so highly.

In regards to posts like this…..there are over the counter natural options available to treat such issues, there are forms of estrogens, testosterone and progesterone available.

In most cases, they are very effective and much less risky than the synthetic ones that are prescribed by your doctor.

The symptoms described by DPlanet are actually usually indicative of estrogen dominance, meaning that the level of progesterone is not being replenished each month as it should be. There should be two boosts, the first should occur about 50 hours before menstruation and the other should be for the 14 day luteal phase.

Many doctors and women just assume that a woman suffering these types of symptoms is low in estrogens and they prescribe them, in spite of the risks and without doing any testing.

However, many women still produce enough estrogen and get enough through environmental sources and it's the progesterone they need.

Thus, please look into the natural options and testing, before taking the synthetic hormones and assuming you're low in estrogen. Discuss it with your doctor, make sure it's safe for you to try first, but it is worth looking into.
