Good day! I'm ken and 9 months pregnant. I have had a cough and colds for 3 days. I went to my DR for a consultation on what to take. My U/A result is: 4-6 in pus cell. Then my doctor prescribed me only amoxicillin and paracetamol, but my problem now is my cough. I mean it's a productive cough. There's phlegm inside and it wont come out. And because im pregnant I cant take any meds for the cough, all i can do is increase H2O and ascorbic acid. And i take ascorbic acid 2x daily. Is it ok if I take ascorbic acid 2x a day?

Ascorbic acid is just a form of Vitamin C, so there is no harm in taking it, or H2O, which is water. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including acidity and heartburn.

Is there anything else I can help with?
