tried it yesterday, really good in my opinion a big step forward, easy to use and you get rid of the hideous aftertaste. Haven't noticed any difference in strength.

Just switched yesterday from suboxone films to this new zubsolv and I love it. The suboxone made me nauseated every morning when I had to take it. I dreaded it; now I don’t mind taking it at all. Also I have noticed no changes at all. I will never go back. But it’s only been 48 hours so that could change but so far I am so thankful for this new med. instead of $800/month it’s $700/month. Big savings if we are thinking long term. Now this is only cheaper because of a $75 off coupon for cash payers. This coupon could expire and not be refurbished at any time, however for now this is helpful. Good luck to everyone. And I will say I have not looked back and I have been ten months without a single pill and I used so much every day. I was very dependent. I hope I never go back.

Hey all... just wanted to let anyone that is on the zubsolv that you can use the $75 discount card up to 6 times per script. I thought my Dr. was crazy when he told me that. You will have to break your script up, for 12 pills it would have been $85 but with the card it only cost $10. That was only four days worth for me so I went back to CVS 4 days later and had them do another 12 and it was only $10 again with the coupon. Make sure to tell the pharmacist every time or they won't run it. I had to explain it to mine both times so far but it has worked. If my Dr. hadn't told me to break it up the pharmacy wouldn't have known. He told me to get $75 at a time but I just go ahead and get a full 4 days worth. Good luck to everyone!

I am on them as of right now 4-5 days. I was on subutex b/c suboxone caused me severe headaches (my Dr. says its illegal to write for subutex now which is the same thing he told me when the strips first came out. But what can you do?) I haven't experienced any horrible side effects from them as of yet. The only thing I have found that I really don't like is the menthol flavor. I hate menthol, but if you don't mind that then you might give them a try. They dissolve within about 30-60 seconds so that helps a lot. You don't have to sit waiting forever for it to dissolve.

I jus tried my first dose of Zubsolv. I usually take an 8mg film or 8mg subutex (have had to start trying diff things bc my insurance dropped suboxone). After I take my dose I feel so much better and can actually tell a difference from before and after I take the dose. With Zubsolv, I felt like I didn't even take anything. The pill def didn't even dissolve in 5 mins, took about the same amount of time as the film, which usually is around 20ish mins for me. I jus took 2mg of the film to see if I can make up the difference in dose with the Zubsolv bc I really don't fell well. Good thing it only cost me $7 for the script, never using it again. I should have listened to my doc, he advised against it bc his other patients tried it and didn't like it, they're sticking with subutex pills, which I actually feel way more the this 5.7mg dose. It jus takes forever to dissolve. It's really messed up how you get stabilized on a medication and bc of an insurance company you have to change despite what your doctor wants. It's not right.

OK. Just to clear things up, the dosage of bupe and nal aren't so simple. The strips are 8mg/2mg the Zubsolv is 5.7mg/1.4mg there is also a strip that is 12mg/3mg. all three of these doses are the same. they are the same potency, and effect your body the same way as they are all absorbed sublingually. If you raise the dosage of both active chemicals the potency will stay the same. The same applies if you lower both chemicals. Therefore, if you think the 5.7mg dose didn't affect you the same as the 8mg dose, you are incorrect. You would be surprised how many people have this problem. But it is a mental problem. That's not to say that the mental need does not give you a real physical change. But all three of the dosages I spoke about are all the same and have the same potency. I have a Phd and a masters in biology and chemical engineering and currently work as an addiction care physician. Oh and i am a recovering H/Morphine/Di lauded addict. If anyone has any questions just ask.

I've been on Bupe (Suboxone for 6 months/Zubsolv 2 months-currently on) and I have to say when my Dr. told me about Zubsolv I was very skeptical, in fact I told her no and stayed on Suboxone for another month. Well I realized why not try something different yet still the same since I could NOT STAND the taste of the suboxone strips and I hated how long it took the strips to dissolve. Sometimes it would be under my tongue for 45 mins!!! Well 2 months ago I said I'll try the Zubsolv... I have to say it was the best choice I've ever made lol because it's like putting a menthol candy under your tongue.. it dissolves in literally 3-6 minutes, it doesn't even come close to tasting like medicine.. I've heard people say that the menthol is too strong and burns under the tongue.... I don't want to say they are lying but let's just say everyone is different becuse it's not strong tasting at all, like I said almost like a candy mint. If I'm going through withdrawals and I take this, within like 10 minutes I'm feeling 95% better. So it usually kicks in after 10-20 minutes of taking it. I take 1 of the 5.7mg pills (which is equal to a 8mg strip) and 2 of the 1.4mg pills (which is equal to 2mg strip each, or in my case '2' 2mg strips). I take all 3 in the morning (the 5.7mg first then after that has dissolved I take both 1.4mg pills). Just like strips Zubsolv is placed under the tongue. So basically if you don't like the way Suboxone strips taste and you don't like waiting long for the strip to dissolve and the medicine to kick in then Zubsolv is for you. It's like a "new & improved" Suboxone.....

Now I hear people say you feel more of a buzz with the strips, I used to feel a slight buzz/nausea with the strips. With Zubsolv I don't really feel a buzz or nausea but it still works and takes the sick "opioid withdrawl" feeling away just like Suboxone. The whole point in me getting better was to stop feeling high so why would I want a buzz when I take my medicine. It defeats the purpose of getting better if you take it just to feel high... So another point if you want to get better and your serious about it then Zubsolv is for you. Well that about does it lol so it's up to you to make the decision like I said everyone is different.

I just started this drug today. I have never tried suboxone, or any brand of bup....i canTbeleieve how much better i feel after one %.7 tablet. My doctor said to take two a day but the insert says take them once a day. Do you recomend taking the 5.7 twice a day or 11.4 all at once. ? I enjoyed the taste, and so far have no symptoms at all. My wd have subsided and i could not be happier. I do wonder, how long do i need to hold the saliva in my mouth after it is dissolved???

Wow. You need a new doctor. One 5.7 Zubsolv pill is roughly the same strength as one 8 sub film. You need less of the Zubsolv, not more. Some say that it is weaker then subs but they're just experiencing a placebo effect. They are used to the sub, like the sub, and therefore do not feel good when they don't get it. I have taken both. First sub for an extended period of time, then Zubsolv (which I currently take) for a few months. The Zubsolv works faster, is cheaper, and is just as strong. However the suboxone did seem to last a little bit longer. If you have an adequate supply and take it multiple times a day, te zubsozlv is better over all in my opinion.

dude relax. everybody is different. just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone else. its like saying I love mushrooms and I eat them everyday so if I like mushrooms then they should taste good for you too! Well guess what? Not everyone is going to like mushrooms!! Medications have different effects on others for many different reasons so stop acting like you know it all.

Orexo is committed to advance the treatment for patients suffering from opioid dependence. Zubsolv was specifically designed to address many of the unmet needs expressed by patients being treated for opioid dependence,” said Robert DeLuca, R.Ph., President, Orexo U.S. “In an open-label, crossover study in 28 subjects, we found that ninety-six percent preferred the menthol taste of Zubsolv over the most commonly prescribed formulation of buprenorphine/naloxone.”

The packaging really sucks. The tabs are hard to get out, then break up. I much preferred sub ozone 8 mg strips.

Sub has a higher bioavailability that is why they are 5.7-1.4 mg you get the exact same affects as a 8-2 mg strip all of those who say you don't feel anything is completely a mental thing which I'm not saying isn't important read the info that comes with the prescription if you want more information the two drugs are almost identical suboxone and zubsolv are just brand names it's the bupe and naloxone that actually are the ingredients that you feel it's like Pepsi and coke

Are some of you guys crazy?? Do you even read what people say on here? What is the point of posting to help people when they don't even read it. One person just said they got switched to Zubsolv and hated it and the taste....That is a lie as I already explained a few posts earlier. Now as for the person who just said they couldn't afford suboxone anymore so they got switched to Zubsolv and now have bad withdrawals from leaving the suboxone.. that is another line of cap. Zubsolv is LITERALLY the same identical medicine as suboxone. THEY ARE BOTH BUPE and NALOXONE! It's very simple... If I don't take my meds when I wake up then I feel horrible the entire day, so when I wake up every morning I take my Zubsolv and it does the trick, I don't feel bad anymore and I don't have any cravings... The SAME way I felt when I used to be on the strips.... So as I've said before (a few posts down) they are the same thing the strips and zubsolv, and has the same ingredients so if you feel otherwise then it's all in your head and that's a fact.

Regardless of the degree we hold, we all react to medicine differently. Just like some prefer brand over generic, it's the same active ingredient but some do better on brand and some do better on generic. If Zubsolv is doing the trick great! For those of us that feel it's not, why are we being told it's all in our head? I am taking it as prescribed, to equal the dose that I was taking with Suboxone. Should I be waking up in the middle of the night anxious, should I be yawning, eyes tearing, cold and goose bumps after 4 days on Zubsolv? I have been a nurse for 17 years, I'm an active member of NA/AA, I have a sponsor, 2 children, a job. I'm no longer looking to make myself feel high! However, when I am ready to withdraw, that's when I will. I have children to care for. This is not in my head, this is what occurred to me, an individual when I took Zubsolv. And the packaging alone is ridiculous, by the time you get to the medicine, there is a pretty good chance the pill crumbled. Then what dose can you figure out? then your missing some meds, then eventually you will run short but have a small pile of white powder to show for it. FOR ME, no thanks, inferior product. The bioavailability is not the same universally.

Maybe get your mouth checked??? NO OFFENSE! I've never had sub tabs, strips, zub tabs or anything take that long to disolve. Other than that I agree! The point is NOT to feel the buzz & to NOT want the buzz! I just started Zub today. Would love to hear if it's still working for you. LOVE the taste! Good luck to all.

I've been on suboxone 2x per day (8mg/2mg) under tongue tabs for 2 years. I was about a year ago weened down to 1 per day in the morning. It was working really well. Then my insurance forced me into one per day orexo branded zubsolve 5.7mg/ 1.4 which is supposedly equal to the effects of what I was taking. Well I can only speak out of my own experience and I can say that I feel that it isn't working near as effectively. I feel very little relief and it seems to wear off quickly. I used to get relief and not have any withdrawal. Now I don't feel that way. I used to feel much better within a few minutes and now I never feel anything nor any type of relief. I will be talking to my doctor and to my instance company about how it isn't working as well for me and that I don't think it is in the best interest to force me to switch me from a medication that has been working great to one that isn't helping much. I personally do not feel that zubsolve is working as well and I definitely don't agree that it is as effective as the other. I feel it dissolves too quickly and I also do not agree that a lower dose of the buprenorphine and naloxone is effective nor equivalent to what I was taking. How do I know this...?... because I feel worse and I am not getting equal relief. This is if course my personal experience. I would much rather have a slower dissolving, gross, and nasty orange taste (with a medication that works) than a faster dissolving, better tasting, less gross medication (that does not work as well). I don't like having my relief, well being, and better quality life messed with because I have to have my coverage and medications change due to higher ranking pharmaceutical politicians being greedy. It's not so cool when it's your health and your well being on the line.
