The general answer is 72 hours unless you have liver problems. I take a urine test every two weeks at a clinic, very high level testing. They are looking for .001 nanograms of oxycodone in your urine. I took 200 mg of oxycodone on Sunday night and passed with ease on Thursday afternoon. You can calculate the half life detection time by taking the total miligrams of oxycodone you took most recently in a 24 hour period (i.e, 100mg) and divding by 2 until you get to .001. For every time you divide a number by 2, add 4 hours. So it would look something like this 100/2 = 50 4 hours 50/2 = 25 4 hours 25/2 = 12.5 4 hours and you keep doing this until you get to .001. Once you have that .001, add up all of the 4 hour increments and that is how long you will need to generally pass a urine analysis. Boom!!

Here is a "real world" answer to all the BS answers... Oxycodone will stay in you for 3 to 4 days... If you only took a 5mg it could be out at 48 hrs or less.

Why different detection times? It varies one the test, and your body. IF you are concerned about it being out of your system make sure you drink plenty of fluids prior to the test, start about 8 hours prior drinking lots of fluids so that your pee is clear. Dont just chug a gallon of water, you can actually die from drinking too much water at once...just drink over a gallon in the hrs up to the test, you will have to pee every 10 to 20 mins if you drank enough, and if you only had 5 or 10 mgs in 2 days it 'should' be out of you.... Now, IF you take a lot of oxy im saying over 90 mgs a day and are a person who takes it all the time for pain with a Rx it will NOT be out of you in under 2 days, you need 3 to 4 days minimum.

As far as dosage, yes people can take over 200mgs a day, hell some people are very opiate tolerant and can take over 500mg a day, yes its completely possible... people do build a tolerance, especially those with chronic pain after long-term usage. There is a difference from a drug addict and a person with chronic pain. Having 4 Herniated and 4 bulging discs at one time I was on 30 mg every 4 hours and I can tell you this, I didn't feel high, or light-headed, puke, or even feel sick... I was able to get up and walk. Do you get addicted to the drug... YES, after a couple weeks you are physically addicted, you get very ill when you stop, causing pain, diarrhea, sweats, chills.... it's like getting hit by a truck with the flu.

You can fix erectile dysfunction with a pill, however why is there no opioid for pain with no addiction issues.... money... many back injuries cannot be cured or fixed even by surgery and the only option people have is the pills and it sucks because they get treated like animals so they can live life, or try to live it... I have a friend on them for over 14 yrs, and is not a candidate for surgery, has 7 discs messed up, a shot hip and shoulder and also has MS... What is her option? She fell again and the Dr.s had her on 3x 80mg extended release and 3x 30mg oxys a day, and she could have used more -not kidding.... If she was a horse or dog they would have put her down. They need to come out with more patch type meds that cant be abused so easily, mix naloxone in it so if it's not worn as a patch you kill the painkiller.... they don't need to go crazy with all these laws, just make them tamper proof so addicts dont chop em up or whatever they do with them.... It's that simple.... Think about it, most of the painkillers are over 50, 60, 70 years old... Oxycodone turns 100 yrs old today... It's older than penicillin!

I use to do 5 80's a day, back when the OC's were the good ones.

Really depends on what your tolerance works up too.

I take 3 30mg oxycodone everyday as prescribed, I have been taking this dose for approx 5 years, and I recently had to take a drug screen for work(10 panel urine). I took my last pill of the day on Monday at 10PM, I took 3 pills that day just like normal, 8 hours apart. I took a drug screen the next day on Tuesday at approx 230PM and somehow I pissed clean? I am female, 5'3, 214 lbs, obvs overweight, I don't exercise but I do drink a lot of water on a regular basis and I peed several times that day before going. I kept expecting to hear from MRO as I take regular drug screens for my job but they never called and when I asked they just said I passed, super weird but I guess it's possible.

Depends totally on each person's tolerance. You maybe dead. I have been on as much as 240 mg oxicontin a day with 10mg oxicodone for break thru pain, and I was able to walk, talk and function
