found a oval capsule on my kid from school it is half red and half green with white stripe down middle and number 8 on it i dont know what it is and the school nurse cant find out either i need help no clue what kind or anything it is ## This has come up o our site, before and I can't find a listing for it, however, from the description, I am assuming it is some type of over the counter product. found some large oblong white pills that were cut in half. They were in a pill box with tylenol and advil. These white ones had no marking except for a vertical line down the middle where they were cut in half. Just took Tylenol for pain. DR gave me Hydrocodone for pain after surgery. Scared to take it after reading all this ## Is it safe to take Hydrocodone after Tylenol didn't help? However, you could try asking your doctor to prescribe something without the Acetaminophen in it. I have no idea what it is its sort of a long skinny pill with rounded edges. ## This is an OTC pain reliever containing Acetaminophen 500 mg (NDC 51824-049, among others). Should have been ON for the duration, but idiot overdosers and Congress got involved. Drs. are not fulfilling their path. Legitimate pain patients like myself live a miserable existence. We are not seeking drugs to get high or to sell, but to at least dull our pain. I contemplate suicide daily as a way to not feel the constant pain. There is no joy, no happiness and nothing to look forward to when even the smallest task brings tears to your eyes. Physicians are afraid to prescribe meds they know will alleviate pain because a bunch of bureaucrats, far removed from reality, dictate what they can prescribe. How unreasonable is that? How does chemically treated hair affect a hair test? I took about 4 (no more than 6) tylenol w/ codeine pills. About four weeks later i took a hair test but three days before the test, i permed my hair. ## When the lab gets the hair sample they run it through a chemical wash that washes off all external contaminants. I found this pill and don't know what it is. It's not in any database. ## That is correct, I haven't found it in any of our resources, either. Are you located in the U.S.? I found several posts on here where people had asked about this tablet, but we have never been able to find an identification for it. This leads me to suspect that it is something that is available over the counter, since those imprints are not required to be logged like they are for prescription medications. I took t3's for horrible neck pain and have a drug test for new job in 3 days. I took one this morning, two yesterday and one the day before that. Will this stuff show up in a urine test or will I be okay as long as I don't take anymore? I was told today, taking 2 Tylenol and 2 ibuprofen is equivelant to taking morphine for pain! Is there any truth to that? ## Hello, Keith! How are you? No, that is not accurate. Alternating the two, say by taking Tylenol in the morning, then Ibuprofen 8 hours later can sometimes result in better pain relief, because it can help reduce swelling more significantly that just taking one or the other, but it will not be anywhere close to Morphine and doubling up on them, at the same time, could be dangerous, due to the toxic effects they may have on the liver. Hi. I have gum infection due to my wisdom teeth. I am pregnant so I can get them extracted now . But my dentist prescribed Tylenol and amoxicillin now the question is my gum turned red like it was bloodshot after my first dosage of the antibiotics then the next day I discovered that it became really soft and had like a pulse... few hours later blood and what not came out of the pulse and it felt numb like I wasn't feeling any pain again but it's still swollen a bit . I am pregnant and I'm taking butalbital + apap (325mg) + caffeine. My doctor says it's ok. Can I take tylenol along with it? ## Do NOT take Tylenol or any other brand of acetaminophen with any other drug containing it. You can accidentally overdose. FDA has recently come out with a "black box" warning about this. Please do a search for Butalbital and you should find the same article regarding acetamenophin and the FDA. ## Diane is correct, in this medication, APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen. The person is on all of these drugs the day before the test, Please no recovery advice, I am doing research for my paper. ## Okay, for specific information on testing, it depends what type of test they have ordered from the lab. A basic test would just show the presence of opiates, however, there are tests that can show the specific ones and how much of them are present in the body.
