UpdatedCan I take gout medication (colchesine) and high blood pressure tablets whilst on doxytet treatment to prevent malaria? I'm going on a trip to mozambique.

Who instructed you to take Doxyet to prevent Malaria? It is not normally used to do so, since Malaria is caused by a parasite, and this is an antibiotic that is used to bacterial infections.
The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
Did your doctor tell you to take this?
