Symbyax Side Effects

My husband has just been prescribed symbyax. He has very bad mood swings. His psychiatrist prescribed this medication to help with them. However, I am very worried after reading posts on weight gain and sleepiness. He drives a truck. ## Symbyax contains Fluoxetine and Olanzapine, it combines an antidepressant and an antipsychotic, it is mainly used to treat depression that has been resistant to other medications, or depression associated with bipolar disorder. Its typical side effects can include weight gain, drowsiness, headache, and mood changes. [1] As to his driving, it might depend on your state laws, many have restrictions on what medications a driver can take while working. Is he on any other medications?

Olanzapine and Fluoxetine HCI Capsules 6 MG/25 MG ## I take symbyax 3/25 and it helps me tremendously but it does cause my Rheumatoid arthritis to flare. I have to take amoxicillin with it to ward off the flares. Does anyone else have these conditions, bipolar and RA? ## This medication is most commonly used to treat depression, and other mental health conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, weight changes, mood swings, and headache. It triggering RA is very unusual. In most cases, when an antibiotic is required, the RA flare has been caused by some type of infection, not a medication. Have you had this checked out by your doctor?

symbyax, any subsitute?

Symbyax works 100% great on me. But SOO DARN expensive. Is there any thing that works AS GOOD BUT 3/4s cheaper? ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? Symbyax contains Olanzapine and Fluoxetine, both of which are available separately as generics, so you may want to check the prices at your pharmacy. It might work out to be cheaper for you to have your doctor prescribe them separately. There is nothing special in the formulation of Symbyax, it just combines the two drugs. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, sedation, somnolence, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can You Take Symbyax 3 25 With Phentermine

I need to know all serious drug interactions with symbyax 3mg/25mg ## Do I need to be concerned with any drug interactions with symbyax 3mg/25mg? ## Symbyax contains Olanzapine and Fluoxetine, it is commonly used to treat the main episodes of bipolar disorder, while Sibutramine is a stimulant used to aid in weight loss. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain, but I am not finding any interactions listed, between these medications. The Phentermine may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Are there any other questions or comments? ## NEVER MIX PHENTERMINE WITH SYMBYAX, YOU WILL HEAR VOICE AND GO MANIC.

symbyax safe amt

I just started symbyax the doctor has me taking 12/50mg 2 at bedtime that seems like a lot does anyone know ## Symbyax contains the active ingredients Olanzapine and Fluoxetine, it is used to treat several types of mental health disorders. And to be honest, the safety of taking higher dosages, such as your doctor has you doing has not been evaluated. It can also potentiate the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and somnolence. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

feel like crying

I feel sad and feel like crying, I don't know what is wrong. I am on straterra also. I take .25 of symbrax. ## Dear Calvin, I hope this message finds you well. There are always a myriad of side effects and things to complicate existing conditions when taking certain drugs. With that said, hopefully your doctor or pharmacist can attest to the symptoms you have been having as a result of being on these meds. Also, have you considered any support groups? Sometimes being around others going through a similar experience can be helpful. During some difficult times in my life I was able to get the support and inspiration needed for healing by attending a weekly discussion group. I truly hope you can find an outlet as well. May the vibrance and fullness of life come back to you. Best Wishes...
