I take 1 Doxycycline a day to prevent broncitis and the Dr put me on Sulfameth TMP today is it safe to take these two antibiotics at the same time??

Hi Judi,

Based on my research in the drug databases, there are no drug interactions found between Doxycycline and Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate.

I was just prescribed both medications and all I have to say is if you don't want to throw up every time you take them, then dont take them at the same time.
