Rhodes Brand 10-325 Rp Oxycodone (Top voted first)

Updated

I seem to be having the same issue as some in this forum. I had been on another brand until this refill & well this Rhodes brand doesn't seem as effective. One of the main reasons I'm here, I thought it odd that I wasn't getting the same relief as the other brand. I'm going to contact my pharmacy and see if they can do anything, I may call my PM doctor as well to see if they have any suggestions.

The last two months have been hard on me since Rite aid switched from really good working oxycodone 10/325 to this RHODES pharmacy GARBAGE and it’s not only that but all my meds aren’t working like they used to. I loved my old ones (oblong) Easily cut/snap in half. With this maker of these meds my eyes burn and water, nose constantly runs and I’m in so much pain not to mention the diarrhea......yes they give me diarrhea and painful stomach! Feels to me like I’m having withdrawals. That’s strange since I’m now having to take more of these pills when before I was only taking 4 sometimes 5 of my other brand AMNEAL. I was on those for 6 years and was just fine and I now have to use my cane, pain patches, heating pad and I’m lucky if I’m not sick and get to make it out of my house! Different maker and look of the pill does NOT mean it’s the same medication!!! My body knows the difference and it’s screaming at me!! It doesn’t matter if you change medication or dose because they are all getting this bad! I’m still thankful to get something because it’s better than nothing at all but I wish they’d work like my other ones, where I had no problems and the pain relief was much longer than these!

Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. They also do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

M, what other medications are you having issues with? Can you please post back and clarify with more details on what you are taking?

Are you both only taking generics, or are you also on any name brands?
