I've been using Purbac for a month now. Can they prevent me from falling pregnant? Can I use purbac when I'm on antiretroviarl treatment and having abscess on armpits? ## Hi Michael, I did some research and I read that a high incidence of side-effects occurs in "immunocompromised" patients. Such as: those suffering from Aids or patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy. The adverse effects can include skin rash, recurrent fever, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia and raised liver enzyme values. WIth that being said, this may not be a safe medication for you to take. My 2 1/2 old kid (pre-kg) suffers from cold for d past week doc prescribed relent+, she was better after 4 days n now she used to get cough at nyt. First was dry cough n next nyt was mucous associated cough disturbed her sleep vry much twice. She had been crying d whole nyt. Water cuddled make her sleep better? Cough syrup or vicks vapourub or steam? My son has been on Purbac for about 3 weeks and about 2 weeks into the treatment he developed a bad rash and temp which he still has 10 days later. Recently I've had a breakou on my face - on the cheeks. I'm on Yasmin, Glucop. And occassionally take Zyrtec as I'm allergic to MOST things e severely to shell fish. I've recently been prescribed purbac 480mg 2X daily, initially for a month then the will reassess. Also using ilotycin TS which applies to the affect area X daily. What could be the side effects? Good day,I need help I was on suston 50 steriods,but now I stopped using en cause it caused me very badly acne on my face,back and chest,I went to doc he prescribeme purbac and benzoly acne cream but non of those is helping me,what can I use now,I stop using riods or a month now but still acne haven't clear up ## In the case of acne caused by the steroid, it's really just going to take time for it to clear up and that's going to be the only solution. Does purbac DS 960mg has a small size pills my mother is drinking them but she can't swallow them because they are big. ## No, they are all pretty large, due to the amount of medication that is in them. However, it's not a time released tablet, so she could break them in half and swallow them that way, there's no harm in it. You could even break them in several pieces, if necessary, to make it easier for her to swallow. When I diagnosed with food poisoning my doctor prescribed Purbac DS for me forgetting that Im allergic to Sulphur. I was on day 3 of taking the tablets when I realized that I was consuming Sulphur. My stomach is constantly heavy and bloated like I consumed cement. I sometimes take Chinese tea to relieve the constipation but it doesn't seem to be helping because one day I had bloody diarrhea. my dog is on Purbac for a skin infection, can i give him Petscam at the same time? ## @Phillip, I haven't come across any medications under the name "Petscam". The name is just so broad that my results are even bringing up pet owners who've previously been scammed. Lol! Would you happen to have the packaging in hand to help determine which ingredients are in Petscam? Also, Purbac (Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim) is a very powerful antibiotic that carries many side effects.
