Oxycodone, Duragesic & Urine Testing
UpdatedI see my pain management doctor every month to get new scripts of my pain meds. On 6/1 l had a urine test. l am currently on 1-10mg tablet of oxycodone 4x a day, and a duragesic 50mc/gh patch - 1 patch every 48 hours. However my test results show morphine. After doing some research I found out the company my pm office used to use was miratech and was recently purchased by vantari. l have been on these medications for the last 22 years and been religiously tested and passed each and every time, but with the recent purchase of miratech by vantari, they use different cutoff points. Miratech uses 50 and varitech uses 40. l have spoken to at least 10 different pharmacists and researched online with similar/exact medication, and the results are astounding. People on the same meds as l am are having the same problem that their test is coming back with the same test results positive for morphine. All the pharmacists told me the same thing, that oxycodone and fentanyl are morphine based and should be excluded from the test. l even told my doctor that l can't take morphine because it literally make me sick, which is also in my records. Being that this is a new company doing their testing now could it be a simple error on the testing company not excluding morphine from the test? What do you think? #Concerned_Patient.
