Need To Find A Dr Who Does No Harm In Katy, Tx

Please help me find a dr who prescribes hydrocodone. I can't find one who still follows the hypocratic oath of (first do no harm) The very day I and everyone in chronic pain with X-rays and MRI are put in harms way. Don't they realize that pain, unrelenting, 24/7 pain can take the will to live away. To have no quality of life, is to have no life at all.

I completely understand and agree with everything you said, as I've been suffering with chronic pain for many, many years, and I receive no relief from the pain meds that I've been prescribed, except for sleepiness for a short time. Every other month or so I'm scheduled for some type of MRI, CT or x-ray. These tests very, very seldom show anything different. I have degenerative arthritis in practically every bone/joint in my body. Living with this constant pain has changed me into a bitter person whom I despise! There has to be something to help with this pain which we are only surviving with daily. Life has lost most of it's purpose. I know this is not helpful to you at all, but at least you can understand that someone else is suffering, also. The only thing that keeps me going is my faith in God. Sorry for butting in on your message.

I suggest trying medical cannabis to help with pain, mood, appetite & anxiety. The days of doctors giving out massive dosages of opiates is unfortunately or fortunately over. The government and pharma companies started this epidemic in our country and now they are trying to fix it...which in the beginning will hurt a lot of folks. Good luck to you!!

Maybe someone can help me to understand this; what makes people enjoy taking opiates? The only effect for me is sleepiness. I still have the pain to the point of wanting to throw things and/or lass out at people whom I love, all because of the nonstop pain. At times you wish some of these people could feel the same pain, but only for a brief time, so they could maybe understand at least a little of what you feel all the time. I realize that this makes me a sorry excuse for a human being, but I try extremely hard to keep those feelings hidden deep inside of me. Medical use of cannabis in North Carolina will be a long time coming.

First of all, thank you Mimi and madman for your input. I needed that. Mimi, don't let them defeat you, there is always a way.
This will help your pain. It's safe and effective and for now, legal. It's called kratom. You can order it online. Problem is, if you can't rotate it on and off with hydrocodone, you build a tolerance to it after a few days and have to suffer a few days by not taking any of it, so it will work again. To me, having a few days in a week of no pain is better than no pain relief at all. It's a godsend botanical. The DEA is trying to make it illegal, but for now it's still legal in all but a few states. No offense, but for those of you guys who think this will give you a high, forget it. It does not work that way. it helps pain, period. I sure would like to hear what a doctor thinks about their cowardly behavior and if any of this suffering they have inflicted on their patients by withdrawing adequate pain control bothers them in any way. Obviously not. I dare any doctor anywhere, to defend their behavior on any drug forum and don't blame it on the DEA. Nowhere in their rules and regulations does it say a dr. can't legitimately, help chronic pain patients and write scripts for effective pain killers, without first forcing people to submit to dangerous other methods (inj's., NSAIDS, burning holes in our stomach linings, puncturing something in our spines, which happened to me twice from two different pain clinics)!

yess I agree with you - I have such pain I can't begin to tell ....what I observe is that if I am stressed or did not get enough sleep , the pain pills do not work at all - but if I reduce the stress and get enough sleep ,then is working a little better .

Another stupid question from this old woman. Please give me some suggestions on how to eliminate stress and get a decent night's sleep when the pain is strong and constant. I'm very serious. I'm certainly not questioning you that it works; just please give me some ideas on how to get to that point. Thank you for anything that might help.

I feel you!U R Not alone! U words speak for countless people. Myself being one. I wish for u to get the help u need. Until u find s dr. Who understands, can & will help. Ur screwed. PS DEA etc. Hinder drs from giving what patients honestly need. I WISH PAIN COULD B SEEN & MEASURED. Most Don't Get it. Don't let this get u down, ull go crazy . God Bless.
