Mono Mac 100mg

Started on Cipro for a week than Dr. switched me to mono/mac 100mg. I have been
headachy.. bad and burning up like such hot flashes in the night I took ice bags
to hold in my arms to cool me down. I feel twittery and shaky . Dr. office gave me
a cortesoid shot thinking it would help my continuing headache (which it did). But
the tired weakness along with the terrible heat-burning flashes all night. It is daylight
now and I don't feel the consumed heat problem. I am thinking I'd like to stop the
mono mac and take my chances. I am 84 years old. I have no discomfort in the
bladder area anymore.

After that post early this AM I a have been resting. Sorta still have burning in
my bladder. But being blessed with Arthritis I never know exactly about the pain
in my lower back. Mild headache has progressed but not like it was. I have been
taking probiotics but maybe I should wait until I am through with the mono/mac.
Would love more info on this.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the Nitrofurantoin monohydrate/macrocrystals.

From what I could gather, headaches can be a common side effect with this type of medication.

However, the muscle weakness, excessive tiredness, and fever/chills you had mentioned are all listed as severe side effects that should be reported to your doctor immediately.

How long have you been taking this antibiotic before noticing these symptoms?
