However, I am unable to find any contraindications listing that it shouldn't be used with any eye condition. The only thing I can guess on that is that since it is a stimulant, it can raise blood pressure and have other stimulating effects on the body. In the case of someone with glaucoma, the pressure balance in the eye is off and this may make it worse. It cannot be taken with MAOIs or within a few weeks of using them, because it can increase the plasma concentrations of those drugs, which could lead to toxic levels of them in the body. Why is the price of methylphenidate so expensive now? My doctor informed me that it is dirt cheap, and is generic. I was diagnosed with ADD, and was informed it was a cheap drug since I could not afford health insurance. My memory and attention is poor. I am willing to try the drug in generic form. ## I take 10 mg methylphenidate three times daily for narcolepsy. had to test one of the ladies I work with she tested positive for PCP she is on Methylphenidate 36 mg, Gabapentin 100 mg and 300 mg, Aripiprazole 5 mg, Lamotrigine 100 mg, every once in a while Nitrofurantoin 100 mg, and when she needs Clonazepam 1 mg. Why would I get 2 different pills when I have the same prescription and same manufacturer on the bottles from the same Pharmacy? The amount of time between scripts was 2 months. ## This is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by different companies, this is allowed by the FDA in order to create market competition to help keep prices down. My best guess is that your pharmacy ran out of their usual one and had to use some from a different manufacturer to fully fill your latest prescription, or they switched, and neglected to note the change on the label. Moved here 3 Years ago and I intended to keep my ADHD/Moderate Depression-medication therapy. All they have are methylphenidate formulations and Did I ask why not the other amphetamine analogues are legally authorized for medicinal purposes, are banned. No body and no one can give me a logical explanation as to why? Perhaps, you guys can knock some sense into me. So I settled for Ritalin and I adjusted to the regimen and about 2 months ago, the Secretary of health pulled them of the pharmacies. What the he'll is going on?

Recently filled a methylphenidate prescription at rite aid that doesn't work nearly as we'll for my 6 yr old grandson as the same one from Wal-Mart did.I hear that rite aid manufacturer Mallinckrodt is not effective at all but his Dr thinks I'm crazy.
