What is difference between Maxgalin 75 and Maxgallin ER 75. I took first one for more 3 months. Later Dr changed to ER 75- I do not get any relief. I feel my leg fingers tough from inside but out worldly these are normal with all movements. I feel fingure toes burning all the time. I am a diabetic of over 20 yrs but it is under control. Here Doctor has given me Elcafort and above Tablets but no relief.

doctor has prescribed my mother to eat 1 tablet of maxgaline er 75 tablet everyday...she usually have it at night...however after consuming it for 4-5 days ,it is found that her eyes(the white part around the irish) is getting red..every morning she wake up & find her eyes to have become red ..& the eyelid part too have been getting swelled up....we have consulted an eye specialist .he have given certain eye drops named-1.cyclomune 2.systane 3. allergan..........but still this reddening of eye is continuing,,.....now this maxgaline er 75 is been prescribed as she is having a kind of pin & needle feeling in her hand..(neurological pain)..its effective as her hand pain have reduced after consuming it....but my question is ,please suggest me some alternative drugs as useful as maxgaline er 75..so that the hand pain is cured as well as the reddening of her eye problem can be solved...OR please tell me if she continue eating maxgaline er75 ,then how can be this reddening of her eye can be cured?

Maxgalin contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat certain types of nerve pain.

The difference between the two you mentioned is that the second one with the ER designation is a time released formulation.

Have you talked to your doctor about it not helping? It may not be the right medication, or the right dosage for you.

the Elcafort is just a nutritional supplement.
