I am on medicare in Wisconsin. I am on ms contin er 15mg tablets. I get them at cvs. I'm wondering if there is any way to get them cheaper? I am taking 15mg MS Contin 4 times a day and I still have several periods of severe pain that come out of nowhere. They usually last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and can be so severe that they bring me to my knees. Could this be breakthrough pain? I have an appointment with my pain doctor in the morning, but I want to see what others think so I can try to be prepared when I talk to him. I want to ask for something for these periods of severe pain. What works best with MS Contin? I am looking for information on ms contin use after gastric bypass. My previous dose is just not cutting it but my surgeon said I shouldn't have any problems. I just moved to delaware and am looking for a dr.that will continue my pain meds! I have done unhections n pt n found tht meds work beat for me. For people in TRUE NEED of pain meds it is very difficult to find help! And they wonder why people have to find them on the street?! I picked up my script and was given different pills. my script is for oxycontin but i think these are morphine. Has anyone with severe chronic pain been told by their pain management doctor's that they and everyone else has to come below 90 mg of ms contin a day because of the DEA? Well, my doctor is. In the past 4 month's, he's taken me down from a comfortable level to now in half until he gets me to 30 mg x3 a day. I've read a lot of these post's, yet I've not read anywhere about the government getting involved. Are we the only one's? Also, I've been to the best of the best doctor's, and they've all said there's nothing they can do for me. My spine is shot. A pain pump was recommended, but the risks outweighed the benefits, according to Stanford Pain Management. So, what am I supposed to to with this? I have chronic lower bak pan and have for 20 years. MRI's show buldging discs,stenosis&Degenerative Disc Disease. Been on the same pain meds for 8 years now-MS Contin 30mg 2Xday and Vicodin 7.5/750mg 2-3 X day. Now, Primary Doctor suddeny is recommending weening me off ad has started the process aainst my will. If not, has the patent been sold to another producer? ## The name brand MS Contin is still owned and manufactured by Purdue Pharma, according to FDA listings, but there are generics, and other formulations available. Could this make a difference in the strength or the way it makes me feel? I just started taking morphine 15mg tablets 2 times a day, is tylenol PM and Darvocet alright to take with them ? I heard something about aspirin while taking morphine in't good? Please help! ## aspirin + morphine is no problem. Darvocet is an opioid narcotic, like morphine, albeit a much weaker one. I was taking ms contin 30 mg for chronic back pain that has not gotten better since I broke my back. The ms contin has not ever worked good for me so my pain Dr switched me to xtampza er 13.5 mg but it does not seem to be working at all. I was wondering how long after taking it is it supposed to start working and is it like the ms contin in that after taking it for a few days will be stronger? ## It should start to help within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, but it is a time released medication, so you will not feel the full effects all at once. My Pain Management Doctor is thinking about switching me from MS Conlin Brand to Ayrmo which is a new tamper proof morphine. I just want to see if anyone has tried it and is it the same potency as the brand morphine? I have already had to go from 6 MSContin to 4 MScontin a day thanks to the new federal rules. Any feedback would help. Does anyone know the conversion dose when switching from MS Contin 15mg to Opana. The MS no longer works to take the edge off the pain. I have had chronic pain after herniated cervical, lumbar disks, 4 surgeries, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and daytime sleepiness, and osteo-arthritis. For a urine test, it is undetectable after about 24 hours, for blood, tissue or hair tests it can take much longer. If you are talking about your body readjusting to not having it, that could take a week or more, in which you could experience some withdrawal symptoms, such as: diarrhea, chills, nausea and vomiting. I was going to run out of my medication for ms contin and had a urine test so I stored it for days before the test but forgot to refrigerate it. Will the ms contin still show up at the right level or does it get weaker from being left out? ## I have two days before Dr appt I ran out of my oxys 5 MG so I went and put urine in plastic bottle with the oxy in it what will happen when it's tested and what do I need to do to store it? ## Unfortunately if you put the oxy directly in the urine you will most likely fail. They are testing for the metabolites of the medication after it has passed through your body. I think you would need to pee when you have the required amount of medication in your system and then immediately freeze it for later use.

That means he's created a blockage, which acts very similar to a clot and that creates the risk of it possibly coming loose and traveling to other areas of his body, such as the heart, lungs or brain. I need to test positive for ms contin 15 mg in the morning. Should I take it tonight before bed or in the morning a few hours before I take the urine test? I have been taking MS Contin 30mg two times a day + Oxycodone 20mg three times a day. My pain mgmt Dr. (certified ltr.) said the urine test shows negative. My husband is a health nut and tells me to get rid of toxins, and he gives me Charcoal mixed in grapefruit juice. Is THAT why my urine test is negative with opiates?
