What is the different shapes and sizes and colors of ms contin 100mg ## Hello, Kp! How are you? I'm sorry, but since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, there are far too many tablets available for me to be able to list the detailed information about all of them. Do you have a certain pill you are questioning? If so, please post back with its description and the markings on it and I'll gladly check for you to see what it contains. Thanks! ## I have a pill that was said it was a tamdol it 100mg and it shape as a oval color is orange but has no code on it ## I have a pill tamdol that was said it was a tamdol it 100mg and it shape as a oval color is orange but has no code on it

Can I take MS Contin 15 mg and Norco 10-325 together or should I space them out over the day? ## They can be taken together, if they have both been prescribed for you. However, as reported by the NIH, taking them together may result in your experiencing more severe side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and sedation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I live in Missoula, MT. I was at a pain clinic but got tired of the constant numbness I got from the MS contin I was prescribed, so I withdrew on my own. It was hell, I had been on them for 4 years. I somehow thought the pain would go away. It didn't. I have low back pain from two torn discs, stenosis, and a facet joint problem. My regular doc will give me meds from time to time when I wrench my back. But he is on sabattical and his partner will NOT even discuss my pain....I am so frustrated! Any suggestions on who I can see who may help me for the short term? ## Hello, Kinger33! How are you? Generally, Morphine is a bad idea for that type of pain, it can actually cause some inflammation of the joints, which can make back pain worse, while taking it. As to the doctor not prescribing...

I am currently prescribed MS Contin for pain and while effective I sometimes feel like some of the pills are fake. I get no relief and feel withdrawal symptoms even. I have looked at them under a magnifer but they all look the same. Is it possible that someone at my pharmacy is switching some of my pills for pacebos? If so, how do I deal with it? ## I am experiencing the same problem. Generic MS Contin ER, 60mg tablets. I have been taking these for 11 years, but for the past week and a half my pain level became extremely high. Couldn't sleep, couldn't keep still. Unbelievable pain. I decided to stop taking them and started taking some 30mg pills I had. Pain is starting to subside after 2 days. How can I have the 60mg pills examined to see if they are counterfeit? BTW, these were...

MS CONTIN have been taking for 2 weeks 60 mg tablet twice a day. How long will it take to be out of my system. I had a rx for oxycontin and someone stole my medicine so my friend gave me thses to use. ## Most narcotics are out of your system in 24 to 48 hours, though it can vary a little from person to person and depending on the length of time and dosages that you have been using. Do you know what type of test they are doing? If it is just the basic urine test, then it only checks for the presence of opiates and not the specific ones. However, if it is the expanded 12 panel test, then they check to see the specific ones you are taking. If this is a pain management test, then you could end up with a problem, either way, if you didn't report the theft. They usually use their tests to...

iam takin 100mg ms contin for a year now and am sick of it what would help in detoxing. I dont want to take more drugs and i know the pains in the legs are coming because i detoxed of panadiene forte years ago i would just like some tips ## What type of leg pain did you have? What is just aching, or was it muscle cramping? I have done this exact detox, cold turkey, so I can try to warn you of what to expect and give a few tips. If it was leg cramping, it might be due to the fact that narcotics tend to sap the potassium in your body and a low-dose supplement can help with that. You should check with your doctor first, though, because high potassium levels can also be dangerous, so you shouldn't add a supplement, without their approval. If you can get your doctor to help, by prescribi...

I am taking 3 30 mgs of MSContin per day. It makes me sleepy and I need a nap about an hour after taking it. My Doctor is willing to switch me to OxyContin 30 mgs 3 30 mgs per day. Which medicine makes you sleepier? ## No one can say for sure if a certain med will make you sleepy. Morphine is more sedating, for most people, than OxyContin is. ## Hello, Candy! How are you? When I was on pain management for several years, Morphine always knocked me out, but I only experienced a little drowsiness with Oxycodone. However, as BL has stated, no one can say how any given medication will affect you. We are all different, so the only solution is to try it and see. The FDA warns that these medication carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry ...

I have been taking 60mg ms contin extended release 3 times a day + 30mg oxycodone immediate release 4 times a day. Recently my doctor changed the oxycodone to morphine 30mg immediate release. He also added lyrica 75 mg and I also take baclofen 10mg & amitriptyline 50mg in which i take 2. I'm still in constant pain. I was shot 8 yrs ago and I still hardly feel relief. What will help me? ## Hello, Shy! How are you? Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so the dosages are not equivalent, which likely explains why you are in pain. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. As to the Lyrica, that may take 4 to 5 weeks, before it reaches ...

Looking for a pharmacy that carries ms contin made by Rhodes in klamath falls oregon ## I'm looking for a pharmacy that carries ms contin 30mg and 15mg made by Rhodes in Klamath falls oregon. I used to be able to get them at Savon. They claim they can no longer get that medicine. Pleaae let me know how to get this product. Thank you. Kelly ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're experiencing. Unfortunately, there is no database available that will let you know which pharmacy carries a medication made by any particular manufacturer. Even if someone tried to set up such a thing, the information would always be fluid and constantly changing, so it would be virtually impossible to keep it properly updated. The only thing you can really do is take your pr...

I got switched from the 30 mg Morphine ER to MS Contin 30 mg. Is there any difference in these two pills? And they switched my 15 mg Morphine ER to 15mg immediate release. Is there any difference between these two pills? If they are my insurance will pay for it. Please let me know. ## Hi Jeffrey - Technically speaking those two pills should contain the same dosage of Morphine (the active ingredient). While I don't have a picture to show you, the 30mg MS Contin Extended release should be round a purple with either the marking "M 30" or "PF M30" depending on which company labeled the prescription. As far as switching from 15 mg ER to immediate release, yes, there is a difference in that the immediate release should take effect more quickly but not last as long. Are you...

Hi- I am moving and my primary care Dr. has ben treating me for an umbrella of issues...mostly fibro, intense flare ups, etc. I honestly cannot move my joints to walk or drive...3 years ago, I had such an intense reaction to giving birth that I was put on the fentynal patch 75 every two days as my body metabolizes medication very quickly. When I started to feel better- I asked to be taken off of it as I did not want to be on such heavy medication...I do not want my body full of this crap- but I also HAVE to function. I have numbness and pain in both hands. My joints in feet and hands are starting to look disfigured. BUT NEED HELP PLEASE....my Dr has to refer me out b/c of the new FDA regulations- I was as of two months ago on 30mg of ms contin 3x day, 20 mg of oxycodone 3-4 times per da...

I've been taking this for a severe foot injury now after my second surgery I want to stop altogether! Before I started taking ms contin my pain doctor had me on percocet 10/325 6 tablets daily. I'm in much less pain and I'm tired of the side effects! How do pain management doctors wean people off of this? ## They decrease the daily dosage. Talk to your dr and tell him that you pain is less and that you want to taper off of the MS Contin. Tell him that there are times that you still need pain meds, but not 27/7.

My oncologist thinks I take too much pain meds, 130 mg MS Contin , dilaudid 4mg, and Percocet for break through pain every 4 hours. The MS Contin is 2 times daily. After I take the MS Contin I start getting breakthrough pain about 1 1/2 hours. He said there is no way I can take that and be awake. Had to sign contract no one else can prescribe me pain meds. And I have to be subjected to drug panels to make sure I'm taking them! Hell yes I Am taking them. I just want some reliefs so my QoL will be better and I can live before I die. ## Hello, Mack64! How are you doing? I am so sorry that you're suffering and about the hassles your doctor is giving you. That is very unusual, they are supposed to liberal prescribing to cancer patients, with intractable pain, and you should be dosed ...

I need to switch to one of these meds, Opana isn't covered on my insurance, the MS is, are they the same or is one better than the other? ## No, they do not contain the same medication, MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine and Opana contains Oxymorphone. The Opana is a much stronger medication, for instance, just 6.67mgs of it is equal to a 40mg dosage of the Ms Contin, so you have to take much less of it. However, since there is no generic, it is also much more expensive and since you can get a dosage in the Morphine that may help, you may find it makes more sense to go with the one that your insurance will cover, even though the dosage will have to be higher. Are there any questions or comments? ## I have been taking MS Contin 30 mg 3 time daily and have been cut to 3...

First off I have been reading on MedChat about new restrictions doc's are going to need to follow if they wanna stay in the pm game. Please only answer if you know what these rules are and you can name your source along with your answer. Currently I am on 4 60mg MS Contin daily along with up to 2, 2 15mg of Oxycodone IR 4x a day. My doc has stated to me several times that he does not like adjusting IR meds and then lastly my pm doc has asked me when we are talking about these things if he thought I could do better elsewhere in town. MY ANSWER IS NO BUT I KEEP THAT TO MYSELF. I have been on the same dose for 2 years. If it matters the doc is a certified specialist and I li...
