No, I didn't find a listing for a Dilaudid tablet, or the generic equivalent Hydromorphone that has just an 8 on it.

There are several with an 8 as part of the imprint, but there are also other letters, numbers and/or a logo.

Learn more Dilaudid details here.

How small is it? Would you say it's similar to an Aspirin tablet, or maybe smaller like a birth control pill?

I've seen Dilaudid that come in 2mg, 4mg, or 8mg. On one side it has the #4 (for four mg) or like you said the number 8 for 8mg. They are very small, round with a beveled edge. There are numbers on the back of my 4mg tablet. Very small and hard to read. 54 on the top half with 196 below it. The company that makes it is emblem or number on the back. Merrill drugs uses an M but not positive if yours was.

If it is really small with a 8 and the scored line on the back ends in a arrow, then its a subutex generic form called buprenorphine. It is very potent and is usually given to recovering addicts. Similar to suboxone without the noxolone in it.
