Hydrocodone Levels In A Ua

So i'm prescribed hydrocodone 5/325. My husband's prescribed 7.5/325. I had the flu really bad and I took 2 of his pills on accident. I took a UA about 2 or 3 hrs later. Every time I test It comes back that I've taken morphine because my body breaks it down that way. But will the two I took come up showing that I took different pills?

It may come up with you having more in your system that you're suppose to. If you took two 7,5 mg, it could show up as you having 15 mgs in you system instead of the 5 mg that you're prescribed.

And it is completely normal normal for it to come up as Morphine on some tests, since they metabolites it is broken down into are very similar.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, and headache.

And BL is correct, if they are checking levels, that is something they might also question. Overall, it might be best to inform your doctor that this happened, just in case.
