Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10/325 By Mallinckrodt (Page 6)

Updated

My pharmacy changed my meds from the yellow 10-325 v 3601 norco to the 10-325 white m367 mallinckrodt. I've been taking the yellows for years with no problems. Today I started the whites and feeling dizzy, a little weak, kind of panicky. What is different about the two meds that would cause this?

I'm getting the Norco yellow pills at our local HEB grocery store here in Austin

Norco is the brand name and the ones we get are the generic of Norco..........so they are coming from different companies..........the yellow Norcos are Parr Pharmaceutical and there are others that supply too but they are not yellow ..........the white ones are supplied by a different generic company for Norco than the yellow ones

And do what I did.............when my pharmacy changed names providing the pain med, I just changed pharmacies to one that was still carrying it

Thank you for the info, I've skimmed through the Par website, will look more at it later. My doctor will write script for name brand but the (more than 5) pharmacies refuse to fill it with anything except malincrap. I'm contacting Par Pharm and will ask questions about availability, etc. Ideas?

The difference is in the manufacturer and the colr of the pills. The only other problem would be I your obviously distressed mind.If I were writing that prescription,it would be time for you to be slowly taken off of it,due to your obvious problems. This is a narcotic medication and can cause problems with different individuals minds and, after some time using them,it is apparent you are suffering from a common form of psychosis this medication typically causes.I don't expect you will be discussing your insecurities with the prescribing physician, another sign of needing to be gently weaned off of them, with another medication perhaps with different properties needed in order to treat your problem affectively again without triggering your mental needs for the other medication, which should,if working, only cause a physical withdraw..

If the Gov, medical field,FDA and whoever was responsible when they came out with these pills in the 90s, would have cared about the persons taking them Instead of giving them out like Candy to make Tons of money!

Re: madashell (# 104) Expand Referenced Message

Just do what I did ............call pharmacies in your area and ask if they use Norco yellow pills to fill prescriptions ..........that's how I found the yellow Norco again when the pharmacy I was using began to carry another name

Re: rockfish (# 105) Expand Referenced Message

what in the world are you talking about? are you a doctor or what? You make absolutely no sense and what is your point? Just because one manufacturer doesn't work the same way the other one did, doesn't mean the person has a mental issue now.

Because the lies & ring around the Rosie!!! When i started mallincrodt it made me sick, real sick, come to find out it was oxycodone? Wt heck? I still get stomach cramps & chills for 15- 20 minutes after i take it!! Good luck! Always talk to your pcp!!

I been taking Norco 10/325 for 27 years , there is NO difference between generic or brand name ( yellow or white ) ... All have same ingredients.... Some people say generic Norco not as good as brand name .... It's ONLY psychologically

Fillers and binders affect how a medication is absorbed. Fillers and binders affect different people differently. Some people are not as affected as others. A generic has to get a patient within 10% above or below the blood concentration achieved with the brand for the FDA to approve it.

I have severe osteoarthritis, degenerative disc diseasse, scoliosis, blah, blah, blah and just got to computer to see if anyone else is noticing a difference in their pain meds. I take Endo 10/325 by Endocet, Walgreens orders for me. I have noticed a difference as well. Having said that, all others upset my stomach horribly and I felt dizzy too.

So far, best I have found is Endo 10/325, only Walgreens will order, try that. There is so much competition with Pharma companies, the only way to make money is to put less of drug in, AND THEY ARE!! and more fillers. Do your research by going to company name and look at the fillers, YOU WILL BE SHOCKED and know why you feel ill. They put all kinds of GARBAGE in for fillers. It's the fillers killing people, leading them to other medical issues, not the drug, they have reduced it by up to 40% and the rest is fillers, anything that will stick together, drywall, cardboard, glue, etc. Do your research, took me a while, found the EXACT INGREDIENTS on their website. Need to be somewhat savvy on manipulating their sites, but you WILL find it. Good Luck, Sunset.

Attention: Anyone Who Has Been RX'D Hydrocodone 10/325 w/ MFR: Mallinckrodt

Once again they are dispensing complete and utter crap Hydrocodone from this mfr. I am 100% convinced that this medication is almost completely devoid of narcotic (the pain relieving ingredient). I had the same problem 6 to 8 mos. ago and ongoing prior for a year whereas the med. was not even touching my pain at all. O.K., then for the past 4 mos. it seemed to work and was relieving my pain somewhat. Just got my new 30 day supply on Fri. 6/7/2019 and once AGAIN it's back to the complete and utter junk, in other words it's devoid of the 10 mgs. of the narcotic, it may contain, I'm guessing, maybe 2 mgs. per what s/b 10! It does absolutely NOTHING for my pain! I just filed a complaint online with the FDA and I am urging others who are experiencing this same problem to do so. Something is definitely going on, I seriously believe someone, somewhere is switching the legit 10 mg. pills out with black market pills and dispensing them to us. It's probably being done at the distributorship or perhaps inside the mfr. company itself, an employee or someone?? If you too feel the same way, please go to the FDA's online site and you can file a complaint. The manufacturer of these junk pills is: MALLINCKRODT. I have severe back pain caused from Spondylolisthesis, Spinal Stenosis, Scoliosis, Arthritis, A Fractured Vertebra, and a cracked tailbone. I suffer all the time and since we have this so-called, "opioid epidemic" I am only rx'd a lousy 3 hydrocodone per day, yeah, I know it's pathetic. I believe this epidemic ended at least 8 years ago, why the hell aren't they taking alcohol off the market or limiting the no. of bottles of beer, liters of whiskey one can purchase since it KILLS WAY MORE people than any rx. medication EVER has. Legitimate pain patients are suffering terribly and it's about time we RISE UP and do something. It's NOT our fault doctors prescribed narcotics to anyone who said they had an ache and didn't even have tests to prove they had pain, I cannot even believe how many young people were being prescribed strong narcotics, like Oxycodone or Oxycontin for simple every day aches, I don't know how a young person in their 20's can have severe enough pain to require heavy duty narcotics. Anyway, I totally believe that this epidemic is over and they've weeded out the fakers and abusers so there s/b no reason for people with chronic severe pain to have to suffer with weak pain meds., especially junk pain meds.

Re: RhoRhoRho (# 9) Expand Referenced Message

They sure arent the same.I have had to take them for over 20 yrs now and have taken everything from the yellow(wrks best) down to the ip 110's(totally useless) to take period.Theres not a white 1 made that i havent had to try but if i had to choose one,the short fat n358's made by Lupin seem to be the best white ones so far.

Jennifer I was having issues when in another state for a short time (1year), the hydrocodone I was given was a maybe colour instead of white. A few months down the road I felt they weren't helping and my inflammation was much worse.
My son checked ingredients and I was surprised to see red dye. I'm allergic to red dye! Changed back to the white and had it out in my records. Maybe you can request your original also?

I posted here about 4 months ago about the bad side effects I was having from the Mallinckrodt 10/325. I also emailed the company with my complaints because the side effects were serious- sick to my stomach, nauseous, dizzy, itchy, can't stop sneezing and not a lot of pain relief. I don't like taking more, but the pain relief quality is very far down. And IT IS NOT because I'm building a tolerance. I stick to my schedule so I know when the medicine is not as effective. It is quite obvious what my body is telling me. The quality and effectiveness have changed a lot lately. I've been taking it for years and have noticed many negative changes to this once, very effective, medicine. The new batch I picked up July 10th are different once again. Right away I noticed a difference in the size of the pill. The big change is that it is not making me dizzy, itchy or feeling like I'm going to throw up anymore. Just an FYI for everyone.

Re: BL (# 112) Expand Referenced Message

There is no such regulation of this in the foreign countries these medicines are now being made like India (Amneal brand) and china and all the other s***ty countries where there is no quality control. WHY IS THIS ALLOWED!!!?? THIS IS MEDICINE, not dish soap!! These pharm companies should be allowed to manufacture medicine in the United States!!! Not dirty countries like India!! This makes me so mad!! Ive gotten sick on so many generics!! They are all dog crap!!
