We also have a bottle of omedex plus from Mexico says it is esomeprazol equivalent of 40 mg red and white capsule no writing on capsule should I be afraid of it ## Omedex is listed as being a Mexican brand of Esomeprazole, which would be known by the name brand Nexium in the U.S. However, it is difficult to know if that's what they actually are, which is true of almost any medication from Mexico. Where/how was it obtained? ## I have used Mexican Medication for over 2 years and if I don't take the Omedex Plus I can tell it by 10am. I want to know whether sompraz 40 and nexpro 40 are same medicine with different nomenclature. One of my family member was advised to take sompraz 40 along with other medicines. What is a round yellow flat pill with "novo | 40" on one side and blank on the other? It was given to me for pain. ## Hi Chris, A 'D-shaped' light brown (may be perceived as yellow) pill marked with novo 40 is reportedly identified as famotidine 40 mg, made by Teva in Canada. For verification, the Drug Identification Number (DIN) is listed as 02022141. Famotidine is marketed for use in treating symptoms of GERD, stomach ulcers and heartburn, among other uses. If you think your pill may be different, I would probably recommend contacting Teva Canada directly just to get a second opinion since the shape or color may be changed by the manufacturer without any prior public announcement. Hope this helps! ## I found a yellow round pill with 40 on one side and novo on the other...

I had been taking the tan and beige prescription formula 20mg delayed release version of Omeprazole to treat my acid reflux for several months with no adverse effects.
