Franxit contains the active ingredients Flupentixol and Melitracen, it is most commonly used to treat severe depression.

Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and weight changes.

Learn more Flupentixol details and information on Melitracen here.

Is there anything else I can help with?

I am living in a joint family, my wife is taking 0.25mg franxit daily on bed time & petril .25mg daily from last seven years as given by doctor. before one month franxit is not avilable in medical shop. So i discussed with my wife & stopped franxit, petril. After 8-10 days i observed that my wife behaving angrily every time, restless work from 5am to 10 pm without taking proper food, weight loss occurred, very speedy speech, fear to work & elders or family members (vo ish baat se darti hai ki kisi ne bhi use ya uske kaam ke liye kuch kahana chahiye) she is not interested to go out side or any entertainment in outside, or in the home every time she is doing some useless work after finishing routine work. every time she is under pressure or in tension, again i consulted my doctor, he started franxit & petril same dose. can you suggest any correct way of treatment for me to have a normal life? i am very concerned for my wife.

Hi, I'm Abhay. My father was taking franxit for the last 8 years. After that last year franxit was banned by the govt. For the 1st year after the ban it was a very hard struggle. 20 days ago my dear father passed away.
