Does Mikart make a generic Fioricet? I know they stopped making it for awhile, but they definitely worked the best for me. Hopefully, they will again!! ## Yes I was getting that same generic for Fioricet and had the MIA on one side and 110 on the other I believe those worked very well it seems like every time something works well they take it away ## Is Mikart still making the generic Fioricet 110? My pharmacy says it can no longer get it. ## Hi Dee, yes they do. It's a white oblong pill that says MIA on one side and 110 on the other side. That pill worked the best for me as far as any generic for Fioricet; and the Mikart brand is so difficult to get. They actually sold it to another company. If you need further details I can give you the company’s name and they will find a lo...

Is it safe if I took fioricet about 4 hours ago and then take klonopin? ## Has your doctor prescribed them both? The problem with taking them together is due to the Butalbital in the Fioricet and the Clonazepam in the Klonopin, some barbiturates can reduce the efficacy of Benzodiazepines, so the Klonopin may not be as effective for you, as it was, at its regular dosage. However, conversely, the Benzodiazepines can increase the amount of the Barbiturate that your body absorbs and, in some cases, where people where taking high doses of both, it has resulted in an overdose. ## Yes, the dr prescribed both. I took a klonopin two hours ago as of writing this. Now I have headache and need to know if I can take a fioricet? ## How long do I have to wait to take tramadol or nyquil after taking fi...

I live in the Richmond Ky area. Just moved here a few years ago and since I cannot get fioricet online anymore for my headaches and fibromyalgia pain, am having extreme trouble finding a dr willing to prescribe. Does anyone have a dr willing to prescribe it anywhere in the Lexington, Richmond or Irvine area? I have no life dealing with the pain without them. ## Hello, SuzyQ! How are you? Well, it does contain the barbiturate Butalbital, which has sometimes been abused, so this medication is usually only prescribed as a last resort, when other options have failed. Additionally, if you go to a doctor and ask for a specific medication, they are taught to see that as being drug seeking behavior, so they will always be very reluctant to prescribe it. This medication may cause side effects, s...

My doctor just told me that they are no longer going to produce this medication? Even the generic!? Is this true? Has anyone heard anything?? I have not been able to find any information on this. ## -325-40... My doctor said that this medication is being discontinued... Does anyone know anything? ## No it's not being discontinued. Absolutely not that I know of ## Just to add, I have not seen any official announcements from the FDA or manufacturer of Fioricet suggesting that it might be discontinued. That said, I'd really start questioning your doctor's motives for telling you it was being pulled off the shelves. Maybe s/he just didn't want to write for it anymore and that was their passive way of getting let off the hook, so to speak? Nevertheless, it sounds like a new d...

I am 48 have been married 31 years. Have been physically and emotionally stressed out. Been having marital problems trying to work out. Have a teenage precious son with Add and other disorders. I have been taking Fioricett, and I find myself running out of them earlier than before due to be refilled. I am having more muscle tension headaches, and this is all that will relax the muscles to prevent it going into a migraine. My dr. prescribes 3 a day, I find myself taking 4 a day a lot not sure how to ask the Dr. if he could change the dosage? Please answer? ## It is normal for your body to get used to a medication, when you've been taking it for awhile, and for you to eventually need a dosage adjustment, or a switch to a different medication, and your doctor is aware of this informati...

I had read that West Ward fioricet was off the market. This medicine helped so much with my headaches. Can you please tell me if the West Ward fioricet will be available soon? ## Hi tam213, According to the drug's main webpage, Fioricet products containing 325 mgs of acetaminophen have in-fact been discontinued. New formulations of Fioricet & Fioricet w/ Codeine reportedly contain 300 mgs of acetaminophen per capsule to meet the FDA's safety guidelines surrounding acetaminophen dosing limitations. I'm not sure when it's supposed to be back on the shelves, if it's not already. But I would suggest contacting West-Ward Pharmaceuticals directly for additional details at: Recall Inquiries: [email protected] Customer Service Inquiries: [email protected]...

One Dr I was going to said one 2 times a day, I have to take 2 to get rid of a headache. Then if i run out to soon they won't give me anymore . So then I am out to soon. Even though I have told them 1 doesn't work good enough. I have even gone to the same office and seen a different dr who said they wouldn't give them to me. What is the big deal ? If you finally find something that works stay with it. ## Lora, I understand completely. I think they are concerned about rebound headaches if they are taken too often. Also, some neurologists don't like to prescribe anything for pain, and just rely on preventatives and triptans. I had my best quality of life with migraine with my first neurologist who prescribed Inderal as a preventative and 100 Fioricet/month. I never abused ...

Pls tell me what company makes this generic fioricet with LCI 1695 and light blue in color. Is it Lannett Co.? Are they a good generic company? Watson white tabs do NOT work for me. Is this blue pill good for HA? ## Hi Doggielover, Just to confirm, the manufacturer of that generic Fiorcet is Lannett Company, Inc.. This medication is commonly used in the treatment of headache, but is also regarded as an analgesic combination. As to the company's reputation on generics, I honestly haven't heard much about them. But I believe this is really something that can turn out to be very different for each individual going through their own personal experience with the medication. So you may just to have give it a trial run and see how it works out for you. You can learn more about this dru...

I'd get a second opinion or maybe a third too before switching manufacturers of Fioricet. Suicide is huge with these drugs and there is no way to figure out who is going to be affected. It also changes the brain. It could potentially cause them lifelong difficulty. No one will tell you the awful adverse effects of coming off them. I would check for a vitamin and mineral deficiency, gut bacterial imbalance, possible brain injury and most importantly look at the environment and the people around you. Please exhaust all other possible causes before starting this drug meant for adult brains. It could be an infection like strep or inflammation from an immune system that won't shut down. You need to know big pharma is pushing doctors to prescribe off-label for the sole purpose of incr...

What markings does the Fioricet/Butalbital have on the white tablet and who is the manufacturer? I can not take the blue tablet form as something in it makes me ill. Thank you. ## Fioricet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen, Butalbital and Caffeine, it is most commonly used to treat migraines. These are several white tablets on the market, since it is available as a generic and I can pinpoint any specifically, since you didn't list your dosage. I also don't have a list of manufacturers for all of them, however, here are some markings on the white tablets, so you can see if you recognize any: White, round, 2355 V (Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) White, oval, MIA 110 White, oval, 2357 V (VIntage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) White, oval, 3416 WPI White, oblong M (in a s...

I so do not get why u can buy Fioricet WITHOUT seeing a Dr. My best friend committed suicide last year. He had OVER 800 Fioricet pills on him when he died!!! To me this is UNACCEPTABLE. He should've never been able to buy this many pills without seeing a Dr. What can I do to propose stiffer laws so this won't happen again to anyone? ## What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen to anymore people??? ## In the U.S. this medication does require a prescription, it is not available over the counter. It contains a combination of Acetaminophen, Butalbital and Caffeine. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, stomach irritation, and insomnia. Did they definitively say it was the Fioricet tha...

After years of taking fioricet & fiorinal, under drs. care, I have noticed that I have an itch on legs and feet after taking meds when tension migraine hits. I have fear that I may becoming allergic to aspirin and or acetominephine. I don't know what to do (itching not severe) if I can't take meds. when headache occurs. Help! ## Hi, I also itch when on the drug Vicoden. But, When I take them as prescribed instead of randomly my itching goes away- a lot of side affects go away after proper use of the drug. I would let your doctor know about this and ask him/her if this symptom will go away with prescribed use. To relieved my itching I took an allergy pill ( ATARAX ). For My dry mouth: by using BIOTEN. Does anyone have info. re: ordering from the internet for generic fioricet with imprint MIA 110? Didn't have problems until this year with orders -- having tension/migraine type pain and pressure for many years every day; would appreciate any info. possible. Thanks. ## Hi Casey, Depending on whether or not you ordered your medication from a legitimate pharmacy, it can actually be quite common for mistakes to arise. What types of problems are you experiencing with your order exactly? Is something wrong with the actual placement of your order, or are you just referring to the quality of your medication? If you could please post back in more detail that would be great. It may also be wise to discuss those side effects with your doctor, who can suggest some safer treatment options for y...

how long will fioricet stay in your system? ## how long does fiorcet stay in yor system ## 24 hours or so, depending on how long you have been taking it and how often. Do you have a prescription for it? ## yes, I have a prescription for it, I've been taking it for a few years. I have to drug test on Monday for a job and I'm not sure if I should stop taking it. ## If you have a prescription for it, there should be no reason to stop taking. Bring your prescription bottle to the drug test so the MRO can get a copy of the label, to prove it is a prescription. If the effects of the drug with interfer with the job duties, it is better that you are not in that position, especially if it is a safety sensative position. ## I have an appt with sub doc Monday, 21 December. So, I've been taking the "old tablet", gross, bitter fioricet for unremitting trigeminal Neuralgia for about 6 years off and when my horrible TN kicks in. It has ALWAYS BEEN my miracle drug. Literally, I ran the gamut of headache meds. I'm 54 and have been getting aura, aura loop migraines since I was 16; then Trigeminal Neuralgia, nicely nicknamed, "The Suicide Disease" was found 6 years ago. It brings me to my knees....BBBBUUUT! The new capsule formulation of Fioricet does ZERO for it now, but it does make me vomit copiously with no relief from what used to be my miracle drug. I am on ACA and they don't want to pay for the old formulation, (they even went so far as to tell me that pill form never existed., so my pharmacist ordered it and I brought a pic, sh...

I used to average about 1-2 migraines a month, so my primary care doctor prescribed me Fioricet. This usually takes care of the migraine within a couple of hours (not without making me feel kind of drunk though). However, the frequency of my migraines has increased and I'm averaging about one a week, so my primary care prescribed me Topamax. I started it even though I was weary of all of its alarming side effects, and I had to stop it due to the crippling anxiety it has caused me. I plan to talk with my doctor again about getting on a different medication, but I was hoping for some advice. Has anyone tried Elavil for preventing migraines, and if so, how were its side effects? I've heard that some of its side effects are dizziness (which concerns me as I have a daily commute) and...

I can no longer get blue Westward 787 Fioricet. I bought Vantage 2355 but it makes me feel awful and does not help my headache, but creates a more intense one. What to do? Is there another pill similar to Westward 787? ## Hello Bird, Unfortunately there is no way to know for certain which generic will work best for you until you keep testing out different ones. Different manufacturers use different "inactive" ingredients, which may cause reactions similar to the one you've experienced with the generic Fiorocet from Vantage. Have you tried the generic Fioricet from Mikart Inc.? They manufacturer an oblong white pill with the imprint MIA 110. It is scored down the middle and blank on the other side. This pill contains (325 mg) of Acetaminophen, + (50 mg) of Butalbital + (40 mg...
