I have been prescribed Fioricet and Amoxicillin-Clavulanate tablets. Can they be taken at the same time? ## I didn't find any problems, or interactions listed, but it is always best to double check. The FDA does warn that you may experience more intense side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has anyone else noticed a drastically increased cost of generic Fioricet in the last month or so? My last rx on 4/1 was 88.00 and my new rx today was 246.00!!!! These caps are expensive. Made in cap form & only difference in dosage is that the APAP in caps is 300 mg vs the APAP in tab form is 325 mg. Any info on coupons for the caps? I've tried a lot of the coupons & still remain $70 to $100 for 60. My Dr has written them specifically for TABLET form but the pharmacy said they are only carrying the caps. Thanks so much. ## CVS in NH always, always has the tablets. I’ve been taking this for years and have never been given a capsul. If you have AAA (for your car) a lot of chain pharmacies will have a good discount if you show them the card. My $90 Adderall prescription was only $30 and my pharmacist told me someone got a $900 pet prescription for $90. It’s worth a try. Just make sure you print the discount card from AAA...

Have used generic Fioricet from Qualitest for quite some time. They helped with migraines. Now all of a sudden my pharmacy is using Watson-the blue pill and I cannot take them. They make me nauseous and do nothing for the pain. There is a difference in manufacturers. Anyone else have this problem or a solution. ## Yes, there can sometimes be differences in the substances in medications from one manufacturer to another. Unfortunately, some people are very sensitive to these differences and end up with medications that will not work for them. The only real solution would be to ask the pharmacy if they can get the other ways back in stock for you or call around to other pharmacies to see if they carry it. Are you doing any better, yet? ## Have called around to different pharmacies but they...

I take Fioricet with codeine for headaches. However, my doctor prescribed oxycodone 10mg for menstrual cramps. Can I take the oxycodone 4 hours after the Fioricet? ## Generally, it is best not to combine opiates, unless your doctor specifically has told you to do so. Was this doctor aware that you are already taking one? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.

I had gotten a prescription for fioricet with codeine back in December of 2014..... there were 30 pills and I was supposed to take 2 tablets a day. I'm not a pill person so I only took them AS NEEDED...... I still have half a script left n actually took one 2 days ago for a MAJOR headache (which is why they were prescribed). I have a hair drug test coming up for a job position in a factory. Will this count against me to where I don't get the job? ## I'm sorry, it was December 2015 they were prescribed ## A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample of hair, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. The fioricet most likely will not show up on a hair drug test as not many labs test for it. From what you described my gut feeling is that the ...

WILL FIORICET AND KLONOPIN MIXED TOGETHER SHOW UP AS AMPHETAMINE. I JUST NEED TO KNOW CAUSE I FAILED A DRUG TEST FOR THIS AFTER TAKING THEM TOGETHER. ## From what I could gather, Klonopin may test positive for Benzodiazepines and Fioricet may test positive for Barbiturates, but I haven't come across any specific details stating that they can show up as Amphetamines when taken together. However, on the cheaper, less reliable tests, it seems as though anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. I am aware that there is specific testing, such as that done by a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer, which has the ability to distinguish the exact substance in question. This type of testing is not initially performed because of cost, ...

Why does Fioricet make me throw up and feel loopy, but Norco 7.5mg does not make me feel that way? ## The ingredients are different, so that could explain it. It is also warned that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Ordered fioricet for migraines b/c cheaper than paying copay and dr visit plus rx (with insurance) locally. Can no longer contact them. Read online they had but shut down. Anybody know.. why they stopped manufacturing fioricets? ## The original Fioricet tabs were manufactured by Watson, but Activas Pharm took it over so I called the company and spoke to them directly regarding the new formulation of the capsules. I spoke to the head of Pharmaceutical Engineering and he explained that, while the main compounds have remained the same, except for the acetaminophen levels going down, the INACTIVE ingredients have changed and there is a SULFA ingredient in this capsule that could render it ineffective if someone (like me) can not metabolize sulfa compounds! Though the website states their change in formulation is due to FDA requests for Tylenol levels, this is not true... they only decreased by 25mg. That was a convenient excuse! Their pharmacy rep explained t...

Are round blue pills with markings westward 787 similar to percocet? ## This tablet actually contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, 50mgs of Butalbital and 40mgs of Caffeine, it is a generic for Fioricet, which is most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. It does not contain any opioid ingredients like Percocet. Learn more Fioricet details here. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation and insomnia. Are there any comments or questions? Is there anything I can help with? ## This is not even CLOSE to a Percocet or Percodan. It's used for headaches or migraines and does not have opioid effects, but rather, it MAY sedate you. Sometimes your doctor may give you the ones with codeine but that's as far as that goes.

Hi. I take Fioricet with Codeine approximately once a day to relieve major headaches. It is the ONLY thing that helps. Walgreens just told me it is being discontinued and I am a bit panicked as it is a life changer for me. Regular Fioricet doesn't really help. Any suggestions on what I can try? Next visit with my Neurologist may ask him to get each ingredient separately if I have too. Thanks! ## Hello, Were you ever able to find out why that particular product was being discontinued? I know that you mentioned possibly going the route of getting each ingredient separately from your neurologist, but, if it was discontinued for a good reason (which it probably was), then I would definitely encourage you to try and find out why, before even considering taking it again; at least for your...

I take multiple fioricets on a daily basis for cluster migraine headaches. Will it show up as THC or an opiate on a hair follicle drug test? ## One of the good things about hair drug testing is that it is good at differentiating between substances. Fioricets should not cause a false positive for THC or Opiates.

Hi! I've been taking fioricet with codeine for six years!! I started with two pills a day (along with a ton of other meds) and now I'm up to five. My dosage is at 325-30-30. This is the ONLY medicine that works and will keep my migraines at bay. They are NOT rebound headaches, I do know the difference. I'm wondering if there is something stronger or a slow release or something else that I can take so I don't feel like an addict to this medication. Because frankly I am! I can't go two days without it or one, my migraines with debilitate me and 2, I loose my cognitive functions. Any advice is welcome. ## I am very sorry about your migraines, they are a horrible thing to suffer. However, I think you may benefit from my explaining the difference between addiction and dep...

How long should a quantity of 60 fioricet prescribed 1 every 6 hours as needed last? 1 every 6 hours as needed for headache ## Hello, Lyns! How are you? At a minimum, that would be 4 a day, so 15 days, however, since it is prescribed to be taken as needed, your doctor may expect it to last longer, because they may not think you will need to take 4 of them a day. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation, nervousness, and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?
