Fake Orlistat Capsules (Page 2)

Hello Everyone

Just wanted to let you all know that you need to be aware of fake Orlistat pills being offered for sale as generics to Alli. I bought what I thought were generic Alli 120mg but was sent blue capsules filled with a white powder instead. I know for a fact that the active ingrediant in Alli (Orlistat), is actually small white bead-type drug. So, what is this powder? Only God knows! I've written my letter of complaint to the on-line pharmacy concerned, but no reply. I will see about getting my money back.

Yes. I ordered same med from botanicsasia. I'm positive it is NOT orlistat. I have taken real med before and know the side effects. Tried to get refund with no luck.

I just finished up 90 ct 120mg "Orlistat" purchased thru Botanics Asia, and there is no way this product is anywhere near as effective as Alli. I took 3 Alli (60mg) per day, and the passage of fat thru the stool was obvious. The weight came off very effectively. With this medication, there is no appreciable difference, even though the dosage is twice what Alli offers. I will be seeking a refund.

I absolutely agree with John M and Justamommy, the product is fake and not Orlistat. I actually opened a capsule and tasted it, it is definitely CORN STARCH or a similar product. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

I contact Simon at BotanicsAsia and told him what I thought and he told me to return the products and he would give my monies back. The only problem is the product is sold in 45 count at $77.99 each and if I don't have the full amount to send back then I won't get a refund as it has been part used. The other thing is the cost for me to return and track is over $65 - just not worth the hassel to return.

Omg...Lynne, I dealt with Simon as well... Tell him you had severe reaction and brought to pharmacy and they told you was corn starch please!!! Then if bought thru PayPal put dispute out with FAKE PRODUCT. He will deny but then def contact you back thru email. He will then negotiate because doesn't want a problem... With ALL OF US COMPLAINING.. we should STOP THESE ASSES MANIPULATING and using FAKE drugs to those of us who clearly needs them. Pls pls I urge you to fight. He not only complied he sent me $$$ thru PayPal to send back then when I sent him proof of tracking and # to send back I was Fully refunded... U cannot cannot let this company or ANYONE stop you and keep pushing don't back down. What I found to my surprise is the Botanical company is also a distributor for fully branded Roche Xenical and they have this in stock, but sold via a catalogue not from the webstore. And, Alli will not be back until the final results for Cetilistat, (an improved more modern version of orlistat) tests are released. Seani

Where did you get the notion that this is corn starch ? Why would anyone put a common allergen in capsules? Where is your proof ? Do you have an analysis report from an FDA registered lab ?

You are are presenting opinions as fact and also making defamatory comments.

I searched the company - they sell on eBay and have a 99% positive ratio - thats 99 positives to one negative.

I do not know why you are on an emotional crusade, but I hope for your sake no one from these companies reads these forums as you leave yourself wide open to being successfully sued for defamation.

Well RICHARD... YES, I do have proof is cornstarch. My pharmacy looked at it for me. I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY AND FAKE INGREDIENTS. Have u not checked this forum??? Tons of ppl complaining, seems you are obviously WORKING for this company and checking to see who is complaining to try and shut us up so u can continue to SCAM US OF OUR $$ ... SO SAD!! Well, you can't scare me BUDDY, SORRY, BEEN THRU ENOUGH IN MY LIFETIME AND LOSING A CHILD TO LET A MANIPULATED JERK LIKE U SCARE ME. I believe what she is saying is it resembles corn starch and absolutely isn't orlistat. A person who has taken the real Alli or Xenical will always know when they have a fake product. Many of the pills being sold as Orlistat especially from overseas have no side effects at all.

What a HORRIBLE thing to happen to you & others using these FAKE pills!!! Actually, these manufacturers are supposed to e-mail you with the BOTH active & INACTIVE ingredients as to what are in them. I would also think that SOMEONE would be able to check this pill & see what is in it as well, so you can get these people in trouble which is what should happen!!! I called Activis & had them e-mail me the ROTTEN Oxycodone by them (10/325) because as we all know does NOT work like the old Watson formula, & they did. They gave me BOTH the active & inactive ing., but NO ONE WILL TELL ME IF THE INGREDIENTS ARE FROM CHINA OR WHEREVER!!! I think it is also HORRIBLE & should be againt the law to at least know where something that we put into our bodies EVERY DAY is FROM! I WISH there were ingredients (I MEAN INACTIVE AS WELL BECAUSE THEY ARE WHAT IS MAKING PEOPLE SICK & SOMETIMES DYING!!!) I also had ENDO people do the same which is what I will be trying NEXT 10/300. My PHARMACIST suggested that I go to an ALLERGIST to see what INACTIVE ingredients I am allergic to as some make me miserably tired, headaches & nausea, ECT ECT ECT., & every mft used different ones. I will bring my e-mails to my Allergist & tell him which drugs made me feel differently, & maybe he can figure it out. I do not know what else to do~I am in SO damn much pain with all of these & miserable side affects...I even ended up in ER twice! I had NO side affects with the Watson Oxycodone 10/325 at all & it took the pain away! I hope all who reads this get ahold of the manufacturer & insist (they HAVE TO TELL YOU) on getting a list of both the active & inactive & then go to their allergist so we can find out which works for us best. We have a RIGHT to know what is put in our bodies daily!!!! I hope this will helpIt is just a suggestion.

There is NO doubt in my mind we should ALL write letters & get these people prosecuted~Enormous FINES & LONG PRISON TIME is what they need~perhaps the Attorney General as well?! To do this~take peoples' $$$ & KEEP THEM IN PAIN is Horrific & they NEED to be punished!
