Since taking eliquis I have had terrible soreness in both my arms just in moving them is very painful. I'm going to ask the doctor to take me off this drug besides being tired all day. ## Hello, Laura! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're experiencing. Several people have reported such issues from taking Eliquis and this is listed as being a possible side effect by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and easy bruising. However, there are other medications that you can try to see if they work for you, without making you miserable. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was at the hospital on the 30th of August this year, and he said everything looked positive so I could come of Apixiban if I wanted- but I would need to get a blood test on the 30th of September. Now- I am only 18 years old and I have PTSD over hospitals and needles to I chose to come off it- as I had my PE around the 30th of January this year. So that's around 5 days I've been of the Apixiban- but I'm in so much pain! Not as severe as the actual PE it's self granted but enough to worry me. The doctor said if I was in pain to go to A & E as soon as just to be cautious. It's what I can describe as 'growing pains' even though I know it's not. That was how my PE started in the first place- from my legs. I am moving about unlike before and I am NEVER going

Ugly rash on torso legs and arms, Dr no help. Had knee blood clot, gone now. Been off liquids over a month. Does anyone know what can be done and will they go away. ## Dottie again. Been off eloquis (not liquids) darn spell correct... ## Hello, Dottie! How are you? No worries, I am fluent in typonese! LOL Anyway, at this point, I am suspicious that the rash might not be due to the Eliquis and you may need to consult a dermatologist to get to the bottom of it. There are various things that could cause it, such as laundry detergents, soaps, body washes and shampoos. Have you recently switched anything that you use? Is the rash itchy?

Yes, it has been known to cause TIA's, according to the U.S. FDA, and while the dosage isn't dependent on age, it is also known that the elderly are frequently more prone to experiencing side effects from a medication and often experience them more severely than those who are younger. However, it has also been known to cause full strokes, in some people, so you should consult his doctor, just in case. Is ther...

In general blood thinners just seem dangerous to me. I had a PE six months ago and was on Xarelto for the duration of six months recommended by my doctor. She stated the treatment would be about six months. Well after going in yesterday for a follow-up my clots are gone with a little bit of scar tissue but my d-dimer test was a little low and she wants me to continue on thinners. I have taken myself off of them for two weeks now because I just did not enjoy the effects. Xarelto caused me a lot of excessive bleeding during my monthly cycle, I became dizzy, and my stomach bloated up something strange. I felt like I aged in a matter of six months losing a lot of my hair and skin just looks bad and old. Before this happened I did not look like that. I also lost most of my hair during the si...

I had a pace maker put in and stopped taking Eliquis for 6 weeks. When I started taking it again I am not bruising. When taking it before the pace maker I bruised really easy and a lot. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? ## Hello, Diane! How are you? Your body may just be better adjusted to the medication, now. Most side effects are typically transient and go away, after awhile. However, given your concern, you should make sure to inform your doctor to be sure. Other typical side effects for this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had a blood clot from surgery in July. My doc put me on Eliquis for 3 months where I bled excessively and nonstop. Even now after quitting, my periods last 2-4 weeks every month. It seems related. ## Hello, Holly! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. This medication has been known to cause that in women, as listed by the FDA, but it usually resolves a week or two, after it's been discontinued. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and easy bruising. Are you on any other medications? You may have a hormonal imbalance that needs to be corrected.

My 32 year old Daughter is currently on Eloquis 5 mg twice a day and lately she has been expressing her concerns about the Eloquis. She has been experiencing considerable numbness in her legs and stomach and mildly in her face. It seems to be more in the fleshy areas of her body because when asked if she is experiencing that same numbness right under her breasts above where the swelling is on her stomach or on her feet which below the swelling she is experiencing on her both of her legs. Or even the fact that her cheeks on her face are numb but the forehead is not which also sort of points to the fact that perhaps the fleshy areas of the body are more affected by the swelling and/or the medicine. >>>I am writing this because she has been on the Eloquis for month and is seein...
