Effects Of Meftal Forte (Top voted first)

I am using Meftal Forte tablets for getting relief from pain associated with piles. 1 tablet/ day. Will this create further health problems?

hi Doctor,

One of the Doctor had prescribed Meftal Forte for head ache and migrane...But since it contains paraacetamol and may cause some side effects, please let me know if this can be continued..?

2 tablets at a time? Are you going to suicide? Keep away from this drug. Even with the prescription of a doctor, i faced the issues behind it. Only because of luck, you are alive. Its too late to completely ban this drug.

Further to Sujiths Post.My Doc. prescribed this med for pain and swelling. 4hrs after taking this med my BP shot up to 145/85 and pulse went up to 85, abnormal for me. I am on BP med and beta blocker & my heart beat is maintained@ 50/55, BP at 110/65.Had to take double dose med to contorl BP and Pulse. Very disturbing experience.

Meftal Forte was prescribed by my Dentist after a RC for stopping pain. I took 1-1 (2 tablets i in the morning and one in the night for 3 days. Skin started peeling of from my tongue and my lips and moth for full of small Ulcers. This was terribly painful. I am afraid it will take minimum 3-4 days for a cure. Please be careful about this drug.

i am also a victim of this tablet. i had severe fever a couple if days before and the doctor prescribed me to take these tablets 3 times a day. and within a day my fever was gone. but the prescribtiin was for 2 days. so i continued taking the medicine the next day. by evening i started to have severe itch in my right middle finger. still i didnt learn. i took the last tablet for the night. when i woke up today both my hands were itching like crazy. by noon both my foot also started itching. i panicked and went straight to a doctor whos my moms friend. as soon as i mentioned her about meftal she stopped me and told me thats the problem maker. so my advice is think twice before taking this damn medicine. having a fever or pain is way better than the current state that i am in.

I frequently take Meftal 500 for migraine. It helps me without any side effect.

Meftal Forte contains Mefenamic Acid and Paracetamol, it is used to relieve pain and inflammation.

It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, headache, stomach irritation and headache.

As to further health problems, it really depends on how long you are taking it and how much you are taking. There are always risks, but at just one tablet a day, there isn't a very high chance of suffering any severe problems. However, you might want to check with your doctor to be certain.

In practical experience, the side effects are more than the listed in practical. "May lead to death" also to be included in the list of side effects. I survived in a matter of just 10 minutes.

My wife took 4 tabs of meftal forte 500mg medicine in one shot without my knowledge when having severe head and neck pain. Please advice ??

Someone authorised may please check whether this medicine is banned for sale. Anyway, my mother faced a critical issue after taking this medicine. She took a tablet morning. Within 5-10 mts she started feeling bad. Itching was the first symptom. Then started suffocation, swelling all over the body, even internally too. All the body control lost. Sugar level hiked, bp also hiked. She fainted & we took her to hospital within the next 20 mts. Only because of that the doctors were able to save her life. If we were late for 10 mts, we could have lost her. Doctor clearly instructed us to never take meftal forte again. Planning to file a case against the company asap.

My dentist prescribed Meftal Forte for pain after extracting one wisdom tooth. But I was strictly and repeatedly cautioned against taking more than one tablet a day. The pain came under control with the prescribed dose.
