It can't be a coincidence that I had, and am now having again, diarrhea following each of the last 2 PET CT scans that I have had for melanoma in a lymph node. I have looked up the active ingredient in the CT part, Omnipaque 350, and see that is one study, 42% of 54 people had diarrhea, but it doesn't say how long it lasted. It went away for 3 months in between the scans. Please let me know if you have experienced this. My boyfriend having a brain surgery last November 2011 and it was a successful surgery. Now, he is planning to take his Engineering Professional Examination and his taking Glutaphos I just wanna ask if this is effective brain enhancer and has no side effect to a person with brain surgery. i found a blue and white capsule it has white powder inside it dont have any markings please help me find what this is my young son had thank you in advanced km ## If there is no imprint, it is going to be very difficult to narrow down what this is. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they all must have markings to enable their identification. However, it could be an over the counter item or even a foreign medication. It is claimed to be a cellular oxygen enhancer, however, like most of these products, it is not actually proven to help with anything. I can't find a lot of information on it. Where was it found? ## Yeah it's called OxyElite Pro made by USP labs, a thermogenic weight loss product.

appetite enhancer ## during breast cancer treatment,now finished ,6years since diagnosed I took 1 megace tablet to help with sweats which was my most difficult side effect to cope with, I still take this as I was still suffering terrible sweats I cant tell ypu the differerence in quality of life, my question is what will be the long term side effects? my tumor was eostrogen receptive? ## It would be very hard for anyone to say what the long-term effects could be, a lot of it depends on your body, the dosage, how long and how often you are taking it and etc. These types of things differ from person to person, so there is no way to know for sure how it will effect anyone. About 7 years ago i had a contact lens test. They put the orange dye (fluorescein) in my eye and a few seconds later i passed out and woke not being able to see anything for 5 minutes. 7 years on and i would contacts again. I spoke to an optician who said they'd never heard of such a reaction, and i would need to use that dye if i wanted contacts. I'm not a squeamish person and have no trouble with things near my eye so should i just do the test again and hope it was a one off? Cheers ## No - tell your optician to speak with an M.D. not O.D. anaphalactic shock (a potential life threatening reaction) is know to occur with fluorescein usually associated with injectable fluorescein but sure sounds like what you had. There are other products they can use, Rose Glo or Lissamine Green...

Could you share your experience using half litely. Cramps, nauseas etc. Thanks ## if you are taking half lytely, before drinking get a fresh lemon get the juice in your mouth (use a straw to drink it helps) ## For my 3rd ever colonoscopy my doctor prescribed this prep, saying the previous prep used (with which I had had no problems) was no longer manufactured. A) Halflytely cost me over $70 (with insurance); B) The amount of liquid required to be consumed is unreasonable by comparison to other methods; C) The side effects which I experienced (nausea, discomfort, cramping) made it nearly impossible to finish the quantity. If it is this stressful, people will not do the prep properly. Perhaps worse, they will refuse to have another colonoscopy if given no other option. Terrible experience!

appetite enhancer ## I'm giving megacees for an elderly lady who last lot of weight recently. It looks like works very well. But she doesn't like the bitter taste of the medication. Every time when she has to take it I'm straggling with her to except it.I placed into her juice, I put honey in it, didn't work. Do you have some kind of easier solution?

Since 50% of the excretion is by the liver - I would think this is the ideal contrast for any patient with renal compromise. I know there is currently a clinical trial for this. however as in all cases the science and the prelimiary data seems so promising that I think this needs to be considered for the renal impaired patients. There are many patients who need contrast who have renal failure. The fact that this cojntrast is already 1/4 dose regular contrast and you could use this 1/2 dose at 3T for renal impaired patients would for me be perfectly acceptable if this finds the small liver met or small brain met which could not be detected otherwise. Benefits vs risks are what we balance every day. I am happy to hear your comments on this.

I'm so insecure when it comes to my height, can cherifer enhances my growth if i take it daily? ## From what I know that is a tricky subject - There are treatments available such as growth hormone shots, but it only works on height if taken before the onset of puberty, such as age 11. If somebody were to take growth horemone after puberty, they may only grow in organ size but not height. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that once the skeleton is finished growing, there is nothing which can be taken. Of course, it could be possible to grow in height from certain natural approaches which help straighten the spine. Yoga, pilates are just a couple of them.

Can anyone tell me what this is? ## I am sorry, without any markings, it is impossible to positively identify, unless you have it lab tested. ## No idea...I had an old friend from college stay at my house this weekend, and he's been known to take pills. I figure it's some kind of pain killer or mood enhancer, but it looks to generic to tell. Does it cost a lot for a lab test? Thank you ## It varies from lab to lab, but usually several hundred $$, so probably not worth it, I would think disposing of it to be the simplest idea.

I would like to know where is the hormone drug protirelin made ## Since this is a generic version, it is hard to say, unless you can tell us who manufactures the particular one you are asking about. Generics drugs are made by many different companies.
