I was on a cocktail of different med's up until 2 days ago, I now am on venlor 75mg whereby after day 5 I move up to 225mg, I am also on concerta, which I love, xanor 1,0mg twice daily and etomine 40mg at night. Since taking these med's, I Still can't sleep at night and feel extremely disorientated and lazy throughout the day. I have tried most sleeping pill's but nothing seems to work? We are taking my husbands ex wife to court to get custody of his children. She is taking something we believe it's Concerta. She passed the test in another state with the father of her other child a week after being high. Will Concerta show up? Is there another ADD medicine that will not show up?

If my son does not get enough sleep it seems as though the concerta is more potient on him the next day? His eyes seems galssy and he seems out of it. Do any of you also have this issue? ## It makes sense to me that Concerta (a psychostimulant drug) is effecting his sleep patterns if he is taking it too much of it or having it too late in the day. Common side effects associated with this medication are: restlessness difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep nervousness Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682188.html#side-effects Does your son take anything to help himself get a deeper sleep? Perhaps lavender oil or a natural sleep aid would be beneficial for avoiding certain effects from the medication.

hi, i moved to afghanistan recently and i was wondering are there any reliable online pharmacies that ship concerta (or ritalin) worldwide? ## My husband took both of these while overseas and we could not find anyone who would ship them I had to hid them and send them in boxes of goodies to him with his care packages. he took Concerta 18mg and now Ritalin 20mg neither seem to be the right dosage for him. but i hope i answered your question ## Yes, it really depends on the countries important laws for medications and I do not know what they are. Concerta is a stimulant used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy, this it is strictly controlled and regulated in many countries. Have you tried seeing if a doctor can prescribe it there? ## Hi! I have a prescription for Concerta, but because I'm no...

I am currently on urbanol, 1 tablet in the morning. I have just been put on concerta as well, also 1 tablet in the morning. Would these 2 tablets not contradict each other as the 1 is a tranquiliser and the other a stimulant. How would I take them, and which 1 should be taken first. ## Hi Sharon, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Urbanol and Concerta. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. That said, there shouldn't be any issues taking these two drugs at the same time. As far as a dosing schedule goes, the order in which you take them also should not be a factor, since they have no interactions with each other. It then becomes a ma...

I've been taking Amphetamine Salts 30mg for about 2 years, this had been great for the depression but it sur- pressed my appetite and effected my taste buds so drastically, I had no interest in food whatsoever. Then my physician suggested concerta ER, but that didn't seem to do much for my depression. ## Well neither of them are actual antidepressants, they are actually stimulant medications that are normally used to treat conditions such as ADHD and narcolepsy. Learn more Amphetamine Salts details here. Learn more Concerta details here. So, it's normal for them to cause appetite suppression, but they don't usually help much with depression, because they can cause irritability, so that will actually backfire in some people. Have you tried any actual antidepressants?

found in school playground - capsule shaped hard tablet - no significant markings but could be a number on the white end. ## Without any markings, it's going to be difficult to identify this tablet. However, from what I've found, it may be a Concerta time released tablet, from which someone has scraped off the normal overcoating to try and defeat the time released mechanism. They contain the active ingredient Methylphenidate, which is a stimulant used to treat ADHD and, when the coating is removed, it matched this description. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## That is what it is. I have accidentally put my sons concerts through the wash and they come out white grey and with a small pink section at the end.

What are the effects of combining lexamil, concerta and a birth control pill. I have a friend who seems to have become extreme in emotional and irrational behaviours and thought patterns. ## Has she consulted her doctor? Basically all 3 of the medications you mentioned can have an effect on body chemicals and mood, so it may just be too much for her to handle, but only a consult with her doctor will help her get to the root of the problem. One that may be very problematic is the Escitalopram in the Lexamil, it can actually backfire in some people and cause the opposite of its intended effect. ## Long term effects of the combination of Lexamil, Epilim, Concerta, Wellbutrin and Triphasil. Diagnosed Bipolar II and ADHD, going through an acute depressive episode and Lexamil was only added r...

Hello. Today was the first day I took my concerta. I took one 18mg at 9am this morning and by noon I still haven't felt it. So at around 1.30-2pm I took another 18mg. It is now 4.15pm and I still haven't felt any difference. I still can't focus on my studying, but my head and stomach feel just slightly different but not my brain. I can feel the lost of appetite a little bit but that's it. I still can't focus on my work. I am quite afraid that it will start kicking in by the time I go to bed. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks. ## While the Methylphenidate in Concerta is a stimulant and will have some immediate effect, it's going to take several weeks for it to reach its full effectiveness in the body, similarly to other medications. So, you do need to...

what is the washout period when changing from concerta to dexedrine ## zero, I switched and one day i was on concerta the next I was dexedrine. No bad effects they are two different stimulants. I did, however, learn that methylphenidate (ritalin/concerta) are safer in overall neural functioning then amphetamines (dexedrine and adderal). If they are taken together, in smaller safe doses the methylphenidate can actually prevent some of the damage caused to the neurons by the amphetamine

My son was placed on Concerta 72 mg & nuzak 20 mg. He feels his heart racing & breathing increased after taking this combination. Could this combination of medication really be safe. ## Actually there can be a possibly dangerous interaction between the two medications. The Methylphenidate in the Concerta can cause increased levels of the SSRI Fluoxetine that's in the Nuzak and that can cause the type of adverse effects that he's experiencing. Learn more Concerta details here. Learn more Nuzak details here. You need to report this issue to his doctor, this is probably not the right combination of medications for him to take. Have things improved any?

I am close to going mad. I cannot concentrate and my hands want stop moving. please put me in touch with soneone who can help. I cannot cope anymore. ## Uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, is listed as a side effect of Modalert (Modafinil), among a long list of other adverse effects. You may wish to take a look at this side effect list to know what you may be dealing with here: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000196/#a602016-sideEffects It sounds to me like the side effects are outweighing any possible benefits from taking the medication. Have you consulted a certified medical doctor about these unpleasant side effects? If not, I would strongly recommend that you do, or in other cases, simply try to taper off the medication slowly. I hope this helps!

My son had SEVERE ADHD to the point of hitting teachers when he was 4 in preschool, so he was tried on many meds and finally placed him on 36 mg of Concerta and 1mg of Tenex for any left over aggression. When he was in 1st grade the Concerta was moved up to 54mg. Now he is almost 12 and he says he doesn't feel "normal" when he takes them (sometimes we skip weekends). What is the safest way to stop? ## Since it does contain Methylphenidate, which is a psychostimulant, there can be some problems and rebound effects, if you completely discontinue it abruptly. So, it really should be slowly tapered, to minimize the possibility of such issues occurring. Learn more Concerta details here. Have you consulted his doctor? They should be able to help you with a safe and effective taper...
