Put on half a .1mg Clonidine to take only once a day and was only taking it for less than 6 days. I forgot to take it and want off the pill. I also take 2.5 Corlanor at night and .5mg Lorazapam as needed. I am so scared and terrified of withdrawal. I was put on med for my Hyper POTS disorder. Will I be ok? So far my blood pressure has been good but I am feeling a lot of anxiety and heart palpitations.

Hello, Katt! How are you doing? Has there been any change?

There shouldn't be any issues after taking it for only 6 days, in theory, but everyone is different. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including insomnia, nervousness, palpitations, anxiety, and elevated blood pressure.

The best thing to do would be to consult your doctor, so they can check things out and make sure all is well.

What stage is your heart failure?

Thank you so much for your comment. Getting a little better! I will never take Clonidine again.
Actually my heart is very strong! Had multiple tests done to include stress tests, Echocardiograms and wore a heart monitor for 3 months and my heart is very strong and I don't have heart failure. I have Hyperadrenergic Postural Orthostatic Syndrome!!!

I have been on clonidine for 16 yrs now and I have never had such bad horrible withdrawals in my whole entire life!! I get extremely sick when I don't take it. I would rather come off opiates and benzodiazepines than clonidine. Please beware about this drug. It's not good.
