I too had cancer and have suffered chronic constipation... I have tried Miralax and due to the company going over the counter they gave me generic anf that did not work as well. The dosage of powder too was ovwewheminf.I have tried colon cleanses that guarantee cleansing and bowel movwments as well as deoxification. Nothing. Everything becomes impacted along with the food that has been consumed. Enemas and colonic only left me bloated and in pain.Laxatives are of no help either. Hot teas offer relaxation but no bowel movements. Castor oil offers some releif but it take 4 TBS.!!! Epsom salt makes me throw up etc etc...I have currently been given GENTILAX from Mexico. I take 3 tablets at nite and I have several bm's a day then turn to diarreah in the evening. I hae not been able to get any info on long time side effects. Oh I have also tried Reflexology as well as massages and heating pads... Parasite cleanses, Zapping,Foot detox.. HELP...

Have you tried eliminating ALL processed foods, eating almost 100% fruits and vegetables and adding extra fiber as well as the 'prebiotic' inulin?

If you follow a nearly 'raw food' diet, add extra fiber every day and make sure that you get some 'weigh bearing' exercise, I'll bet that that will help SIGNIFICANTLY.

Eliminate all gluten containing grains as well- minimal grains except for quinoa or brown rice.

CHRONIC CONSTIPATION 4 two months (a yr ago it started building). ER 3 times in 3 weeks, look like I'm 9 mths pregnant..Keep saying "Its the medications I take". Yes medications have constipation as side effect, but if you've taken Senakot-S, Miralax, Milk of Mag, AMITIZA (prescription), Ducolax SUPP (PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH), ENEMAS, Metamucil, eating NOTHING but FIBER BARS, FIBER/Wheat cereals, VEGGIES, FRUITS/more fruits, Prunes/dried CranRaisens, BlueberryRaisens, EVERYTHING.. ER soap enama, send home, within a wk, right back? CONTINUE "its your meds". WHAT TO DO WHEN THEY WON't LISTEN / YOU KNOW THAT YOU R NOT CLEANED OUT FULLY/IT BACKS UP WITHIN 2 days AND PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH WON't produce a BOWEL MOVEMENT? PLZZZZZZZZ HELP?????

I ve had trouble with incomplete BM, very hard stools, constipation for the past 4 or 5 years. The only thing that will cause me to really empty out is Exlax, just one tab, takes about 12 hours to start working and then keeps on working for another 12 hours, so don't leave your house. I' m 87 so I won't have this much longer

This Aferd, my hard stools, and having to strain and grunt to push out a little turd have ended since I took Phillips Milk of Magnesia. The stools are still small, but more frequent, and are soft, no pushing. I'm still not regulator, but hopefully, getting there.
