I am currently taking Meloxicam 7.5. Can I take Soma and Gabapentin together for severe back pain?

Gabapentin does not work like other analgesics, so it will not alleviate pain like they do. It is actually an anticonvulsant that the FDA has approved to treat certain types of nerve pain, but it takes about 4 to 5 weeks to start helping.

Soma may help, if your medical provider has approved of your taking it, but you may experience more side effects than usual, according to NIH reports, which could include nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Re: Verwon (# 1)

When was your Soma prescribed? It may be expired. If so, dispose of it properly grind it up in cat litter. Never flush expired medication. You can ask your Pharmacy or local pain management office to dispose of it. Soma is now considered a controlled substance.
