I am on a pre-trial contract and get drug tested every week. They do an eight panel that tests for Marijuana, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Benzodiazephines, Morphine / Opiates, Phencyclidine, and Barbiturates. They also do a separate test for Buprenorphine. I passed the eight panel test, but a faint line showed up on the Buprenorphine test. I don't take any other medications nor do I use Suboxone. What other medications, would cause the false positive on the Buprenorphine test? I have done research, and it all says that other medications would do it. I'm not taking any, and nothing shows up on the eight panel.. is there anything such as food, drinks, hygiene items, etc. that could cause this to happen? ## I am on the pretrial program as well. Ive found out that when i take a lsd...

I get drug tested by urinalysis tests at work often. So often, in fact, that I have them at my disposal and I often take urinalysis tests just because I can. I will say though, as someone who doesn't use drugs, you'd be surprised what shows up as a false positive for buprenorphine. So far (through regular testing and negatives in between) there have been a handful of both prescription and over the counter drugs that, once taken, have resulted in a false positive for buprenorphine. These drugs are: tizanidine, meloxicam, ketorolac, ranitidine, oxaprozin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and diphenhydramine. I hope this information will be helpful to those of you who have had a false positive for buprenorphine and would like to avoid this issue in the future.

I was on the strips now have a new insurance and had to go to gen. I was first given the white tabs with the moons then last script the RX gave me the peach tabs with 54 375. I don't see any difference with either of them exept stronger taste with the tabs. ## Fixin my info ## It is very common for generic mediations to be manufactured by several different pharmaceuticals companies and whichever one your pharmacy has in stock may change in any given month, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. The tablet with the 54 375 marking is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list it as containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine and 2mgs of Naloxone, so it is a generic for Suboxone. The FDA lists this medications a a narcotic analges...

I took a half of an 8mg buprenorphine only (no naloxone) last Thurs late afternoon. I finally got into a pain clinic n have an appointment Tues at 2:30. I have been taking percocet that I have a script from the er for so that shouldn't be an issue as I'm a new patient. I'm concerned about the buprenorphine showing up. They already told me they will drug test me. Since it's a pain clinic I'm just assuming they test for buprenorphine? Does anyone know if they do? I bought some buprenorphine tests online n it's Sunday night. I'm still testing positive. Is there any way to flush it out of my system? I have serious medical issues, back problems, fibro, arthritis etc My back is so bad I'm missing a lot of work. I need to get my pain under control so I can work ...

I have been on perscribed pain meds ( percocet 10mg,oxicotin 80mg& 40mg,Soma 350mg,& Motrin 800mg) for many YEARS.I would like to be able to get off these meds, but am concerned about treating my chronic pain. Buprenorphine has been brought up in discussions, but all info I've located has said that this is not available in the USA. Does anyone have ANY ideas, information, experiance in treating chronic pain without the meds I've been taking? I do have a P.T. regime that I do daily, have gone to counceling (am going back),tried many homeopathic treatments, TENs machine,biofeedback... Any thoughts or info would be gratefully accepted. ## Am looking to get off meds without being in pain afterwards. Like most people, I need to work. Am looking for any & all suggestions - am...

I accidentally swallowed 16 Mgs. buprenorphine instead of under tongue. Will it work? Should I take more now? ## No, you should not take more, without your doctor's approval. The only difference between using it sublingually and swallowing them is that it may take longer to enter your blood stream, swallowing it will require about 15 to 20 minutes for it to start working. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

They have me on buprenorphine for chronic pain ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Have you tried it, yet? The FDA does classify it as an opiate and it does help some people with pain, but not everyone has good luck with it. They also warn that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. ## The first time I have used it, a psychiatrist will prescribe it ## The first time I have used it, a psychiatrist will prescribe it. Suboxone. I have been getting the drug from the psychiatrist. Buprinepherin w a anesthesiology Dr back in the past before subutex. I take codeine for a back injury. Recently i tested positive for buprenorphine. I have never taken this in my life. How is it possible? Are there medications that can give a false reading in this situation, like antihistamines such as 120mg clarinase or other pain killers like tramadol hydrochloride or even the codeine phos i have been taking for over 10 years. Are there any foods that would give a positive for buprenorphine? I heard poppy seeds do. Is this true. Just trying to figure out why i have tested positive over 2 months. ## Eating a large amount of Poppy seeds can cause a positive result for opiates. The problem here, though, might be the Tramadol, it is a synthetic opiate and they have been known to cause false positives for other synthetic opiates, such as Buprenorphine. The ...

Hi i Have M924 it is subetex correct ## Hello, Rich! How are you? Yes, that is correct. The manufacturer, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, lists this tablet as containing 8mgs of sublingual Buprenorphine, so it is a generic for Subutex. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hello! I would like to start a thread to help those having difficulty finding treatment for their addiction. Buprenorphine can salvage lives and stimulate positive change. But finding the right doctor can prove to be an astronomical problem. Let's help by providing cost/location/clinical information regarding addiction: providers, doctors, psychiatrists & treatment facilities. I'll start it off by giving specific info. about my psychiatrist. Dr. Nathan Strahl Durham, N.C. Cost of Visit - $150 per month - He requires patients to be seen once a month. Prescribes - Suboxone Film/Suboxone Tablet - will not prescribe Subutex. He is a dual diagnosis provider. He will write benzos & stimulants with time & proof of patient sincerity as well as need. Finding treatment can hon...

Does the burprenorphine patch 10 mg cause ulcers? ## It shouldn't, because unlike swallowing a medication, it isn't being processed through your stomach, so it has no effect on stomach acid. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. Are you having problems with an ulcer? ## So I actually have this issue from the buprenorphine sublingual. It's not an ulcer issue but a drug issue. I get the whole yucky tummy experience from it and noticed when my dose is higher it's worse. Only thing that helps is alkaseltzer. That sick stuff! Hope it helps!!

Can anyone help? I need to know if am taking the right meds. It's a plain small oval white tablet named subutex but never have I seen one. Since my head injury it's been hard and getting diff meds without any print on them. Plus I get a med dose box for the week and it's been 1 day and I feel s***. I think it's a type of detox drug, not been told but I know I am due to go to the clinic in Merseyside.

Is there a opiate blocker in white pill 54 411?? ## Hello, Chad! How are you? No, this tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list it as containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine. However, it does tend to take a strong hold on the opiate receptors and can still block others from working. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Looking at a positive level of 33 ng/ml and was wondering if anything other then use of Buprenorphine could cause this level and is this level high? These are the results of a LC MS/MS urine test and got me removed from my pain management after 3 years.

I am dreaming out. I have been on buprenorphine/naloxone for a few years. A brief interlude with the "Roxanne" brand (doctor said it was b/c of the surgery I had last year). Found myself in the east coast due to a family emergency and my script ran out. The doctor here prescribed buprenorphine and was fully aware I needed suboxone. Went to fill it at CVS and instead of the orange tablets which I quite like and works very well I was given as mentioned and the pill is white with an M and underneath that it has (I think) 924. Is this suboxone? Unlike everyone on here I liked the Orange tablets which they still give in California. The films did not work as well for me. I hope I am freaking out for nothing. The 2 seemed to be spelled the same exact for the buprenorphine has an e on t...

Facing pre-employment drug test for NON-clinical role with large health care provider. I would never have access to pharmaceuticals in this role. I take buprenorphine for pain. Desperately want job. ## Hi andraste522 - First I wanted to ask, and no judgement either way, but do you have a prescription for the buprenorphine that you are taking? If so then you're in the clear since you'd be able to furnish it if any issues arise. If not then the half life is up to 60 hours. When would you be submitting the test, and do you know what kind of test it'll be? ## Hello, Thanks for replying. Yes, I do have a prescription; drug in in labelled bottles, etc.. I don't ...

M 924 is Buprenorphine NOT Enalapril....Big difference ## Hello Bruce! How are you? Thanks for pointing this out, you are correct. The 5mg Enalapril tablet manufactured by Wockhardt actually has a W over the 924 on a round, white tablet. The FDA classifies it as an ACE inhibitor and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. While the 8mg Buprenorphine tablet manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals has an M over 924 on a round, white tablet. Are there any FL Medicaid managed care groups that cover Buprenorphine, either for addiction or chronic pain? After becoming disabled, I can not work, depend on SSI, to survive, but end up spending 70% of that supplement, meant to cover living expenses, on out of network office visits and Rx. Unfortunately, thanks to the rx drug abusers and greedy (dr's) pill mills that once operated like candy stores, the only opioid available, legally in FL is Bup. Thank God I don't have cancer pain, but I do have multiple conditions that cause intolerable pain. I recently went to the ER with a kidney stone and had to pass it with Motrin! Anyone else in my situation? I realize other states do pay for Bup., but one can not up and move when broke. Believe me, if there was a way, I'd pack up wha
