I am 62 years old living in India, I am suffering from High blood pressure since last 10 years. Right from the beginning I am using Angizaar H one tab every morning and evening one Atorvastatin tablet 20 in the night. I walk at least 3 KM daily and also drink 100 ml Whisky. I had joint pains and occationally back pain, and no other complaints. Is it OK ?

@MohdAlkudsi : muscle pain is very common with statins (atorvastatin) try to take one of the simple analgesics such as paracetamol. Joint pain this may indicate a rheumatoid arthritis. You need to see a rheumatologist immediately.Â

Mohd is correct about the statin medications, they do cause joint and muscle pain in a lot of people and, sometimes, it is so severe that a person may have to stop taking it.

The Angizaar contains Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide and, since the Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, used to remove fluid from the body, it could also be the cause of the occasional problems you've experienced, since it could cause dehydration.

And as Mohd also pointed out, it could be caused by other problems, we as well. Thus it is very important that you consult your doctor to get to the root of the problem.

my wife aged 41 first time her bp shows 190/100,after 2 days watch doctor advised to take AngizaarH for 10 days.In ekho test final diagnosis is Concentric LVH,No RWMA, normal LV function.Sir what is Concentric LVH and it needs further medical care.please explain.

I m 63 yrs female using Angizaar H from last 15 yrs. My BP remained stabilized almost ever since Due to certain stress factors it rises. But from last one month my BP is around 150/100 which is a danger zone. I got my ECG done n it showed minor problem. My Doctor did not advice change of med, but I m worried. I check my BP everyday , twice a day
Anyone has a suggestion ? Thanx
