Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 24)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

My son is on Adderall and told me that the orange pill worked way better for him. Each pharmacy we checked had different colors. Where I live Walmart carries the orange. I myself take prescription ibuprofen and noticed Walgreens Rx ibuprofen works better than mail order.

I'm not really sure that anything can be done. Complain loudly about the meds that are not effective and report the side effects to the FDA. I know at one time people complained about the core pharma and they drastically improved per older threads, 10 years ago.

I was just at a pharmacy and inquired about Corepharma stopping production of adderall and was told that another company bought Corepharma. The company name started with M, I can't remember the name. The pharmacists said they may start production of adderall using Corepharma formula but they haven't yet....fingers crossed!!

Hey Sherman so now I know why teva isn't good like it used to be. Teva bought Actavis. Somewhere along the way and 2016. So that's whenever their product actually started to go downhill. I'm assuming with the acquisition of activas they change their formula using what activas uses. Anyways was it Merk that bought them ?

Someone took to much adderal lmao.. perfect example of someone who does not benifit from adderal!adderal should calm someone with ADD an assist them with concentratimg. .for example ..writing out a post on a forum...but whoever wrote this novel ..clearly needs to cut them out of there pill regime

I agree with you in regards to teva. They definitely have such a high demand and can’t keep up with the demands that somehow the pill just tastes like baby aspirin. In my experience of over 10’years of taking Adderall I found that lately even the 30 mg which had way less sweetener is not as potent. I started noticing the difference which led me to reading the labels and doing my research as well as reading testimonials. It’s frustrating when you're not feeling well, I have been down that long road as well with the same diagnoses Fibromyalgia. Trust me I feel your pain. I have researched everything. In my finding CVS is the worst. Stay away from them if you have an Adderall prescription. They only use aurobindo which clearly has zero amphetamine but is filled with a pain killer. Horrible product.

Walgreens will order what you ask if you request. I only order Teva/Barr 30mg and split it in two because it’s better than the sugary 20 mg which taste like baby aspirin and sugar. Until recently I noticed that Teva is now using the same sugary filler in the 30 mg.
I might have to try the Core Pharma Manufacturer who has been under fire by FDA so they seem to be the one that has been staying close to the non-generic. This is only info I got from reading these articles so you will have to experiment with what works for your body. What also helps for the fibromyalgia is Eliminating foods with Luectin; which are Tomatoes, Beans, Grains, All Peppers for 7 to 10 days, then see how you feel when you add them back slowly. Just from eliminating these toxic, inflammatory foods I feel great for the first time in 20 years. Diet plays a huge roll in your prescription's effectiveness as well.

Also a B-Complex helps when you take it every day. Everyone’s chemistry is different than the cat down the road so unfortunately, you have to keep trying different Manufacturers of this product till you find what fits you.

- Core Pharma
- Barr/Teva 30 ml (NEVER ORDER ONLINE) that is Poison

Vyvanse is great but very expensive no generic in this brand.

There is no brand named adderal anymore. So we have no choice but generic. I used to take brand named when they were around. The closet to them that I find is Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.

Yes there is...I just received the new script from my Dr. Yesterday.

If your Dr writes Brand Only. You will get the Shire Adderall IR made by our friends at Teva. I can assure you the Teva Brand and the Teva generic and 2 completely different meds. I have had numerous scripts of Teva Generic 30 mg oval shaped (use to be like a football) orange sugar pills (with each passing month crappier than the last) and the generic is very speedy, inconsistent, causes headaches and will have in such a short fuse state your liable to punch someone in the face!

Not so with Brand ( OK you could say it's the fox guarding the hen house) as its very smooth,slow onset and makes me focus and concentrate better than ANY generic out there (including my favorite Core which in recent months before it was discontinued was becoming very weak and caused terrible headaches ).

The major drawback: Cost. 30 pills cost me $86 bucks. My other 30 are the Adderall DR brand by Shire (insurance gave me cost break on those ).

SO IF you can swing it financially - which is tough for most- you can go on with your life and stay off this blog (which is great for helping people navigate thru this cluster ---- of generics) and have piece of mind that it's the original...)

Since prescribed Adderall for the first time about 9 or 10 months ago, I have found major inconsistencies in the generics no matter what pharmacy I use. I’m currently on 20mg x2 daily. The first script I filled was at a Walgreens and at this time I was being subscribed 10mg x2 daily, I received the blue Teva brand? Sorta football shaped, blue and sweet tasting. This generic gave me big time jitters, headache, dry mouth, etc. Since this was my first script I had nothing to compare it to so I figured these were normal side effects and hopefully they would pass as my body got adapted to the medication. Ok so the next month I fill my script at the same pharmacy, Walgreens, same prescription, 10mg x2 daily (IR btw) and this time I received a completely different generic. I thought they had given me the wrong medication. I searched the tablet and it was indeed generic for Adderall. I forget the manufacturer but I was skeptical at why I had received a totally different (appearance anyway) medication. After taking this particular generic for the entire month I noticed major differences in the performance of the drug, this time the side effects were amplified times ten! Super anxious, jittery, bad headaches and even heart palpitations with this particular generic, I wanna say the manufacturer name started with an A? Sorry I can’t remeber the specific name, anyway at some point I was bumped up to the 20mg IR x2daily and it seems that it doesn’t matter which pharmacy I go to, major retail or mom and pop, I never seem to receive the same generic each month. Every time I fill my script it seems that I receive a new version of the generic Adderall. How are there so many different manufacturers of this one drug and why are the inconsistencies so great?!! This is crazy to me that these generics vary as much as they do. There has to be something that we, as consumers can do to be heard and voice our concerns regarding this issue. I have talked with my Dr many, many times regarding this and she’s offered to prescribe me brand only or switch up my meds to something similar but one that may offer a prescription savings card to help with the cost (I think it was Eveekeo that I we tried?) needless to say that didn’t work out either. I’ve voiced the concerns to the pharmacist and inquired as to why the variations are so great and are there any current drug recalls pertaining to this med and I basically get dismissed or treated like some junkie drug addict looking to score. One particular pharmacist I recall speaking with about my concerns of the side effects, heart palpitations and numbness of my left arm/ hand, replied with “well ma’am, you are taking an amphetimine... what’d you expect?” Im so sick of being dismissed and treated like a criminal for expressing concern about a prescription that’s widely known to have less than par quality control in numerous manufacturers. It’s not fair that because of the type of drug it is, a controlled drug, that our concerns are not treated with the same level of respect and diligence as those of someone whom takes blood pressure meds or something of that nature. It’s apawling to me that with so many individuals being prescribed this medication are voicing concerns and yet to only fall upon deaf ears because nothing is being done to correct or rectify the situation on any level. I urge anyone who’s experienced these same issues to write to the FDA, voice your concerns and be relentless in doing so, otherwise we will continue to chase our tails and complain to one another on forums. Which there’s nothing wrong with I might add, but something needs to be done about this. It’s not ok and these companies manufacturing these sub par generics should be held to much a higher standard. Please voice your concerns to the FDA in hopes that at some point they have heard enough to launch an investigation into some of the these claims. Until then we’ll continue to play Russian Roulette, on a monthly basis.

The logo dp is for Duremed. The original company that Shire sold the formula to....Durmed then sold to Teva and they kept the imprint. They are round and dark peach, scored on 1 side with 30... The question is, is it really original? Not sure, but a boatload better than the sugar football which is their generic. You can look at the NDC code and the brand does not have the sweet crap... I couldn't agree more with you! The core pharma brand was absolutely amazing!!! I have tried numerous generics and they all seemed to be subpar compared to the core pharma brand adderall IR. I would take 30mg AM and 30PM and it would really relax me and help me focus and also help me understand things I would have never thought about previously. Socially, I was able to live a life almost 110% free of anxiety and super productive n successful! I am freaking out because idk what I am going to do without this medication. Apparently, another company called Impax purchased the rights to the corepharma brand adderall IR and they are currently working on manufacturing the new type of generic; whether or not it will be the same exact formula as the old corepharma is unknown. Impax is supposed to release the new formula between late November 2017 to early 2018. This could mean a better pill or they could be making this pill complete crap. HOW IS THE SANDOZ adderall IR?

Sandoz pharmaceutical Adderall is great! By far the best generic. Since there aren't any Co pharma ones anymore. These are by far the best ones in comparison. I just got a script for Vyvanse to try out. Vyvanse breaks the body down into dextroamphetamine which is in Adderall. ... Still, Vyvanse and Adderall are both amphetamines (a type of stimulant medication), so they work in much the same way. They stimulate the nervous system and increase the amount of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. So let's see... However, I do love my adderall. ... The difference between the drugs is Adderall contains amphetamine salts (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine), whereas Vyvanse contains lisdexamfetamine, which the body converts to dextroamphetamine before it is active, meaning it's a "prodrug."

Do you consider the GOOD corepharma's to be comparable to the Sandoz you are taking now? I take 30 mg 1x a day. I have been taking TEVA/BARR and it is causing me to break out in BAD HIVES and sky-rocketing my blood pressure like never before! Can you tell me what you like about Sandoz? I am trying to find a GOOD GENERIC. THANK YOU so very much!
