Who Can Write Prescription

I live in north Mississippi and looking fffor a Dr. that will write for pain and nerve medicine ## Hello, Timbo! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no database of doctors according to who will or will not prescribe anything that I can refer to for you. Additionally, with the new regulations that were put in place this year, you'll most likely need to see two different specialists for such medications to be prescribed. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that could refer you to someone? If so, that would most likely be the easiest and quickest way to get the help you need.

Addicted to H. Need doctor in Phila who writes RX for methadone. want to work. can't go to clinic everyday ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm sorry, but under current laws, a clinic is your only option. Regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good clinic in that area? ## Yes you can the one on parkside ave opens at 630.. Not too mant Drs these days write for Methadone. Suboxone perhaps There is also a clinic on the border of Ridley and Chester. I would try the suboxone. You can probably find a Dr. on line for thst.

Am in central FL & just lost my pain dr. after 10 yrs. I have several intractable pain conditions which means without pain medication I simply would be bedridden & slowly die. I have attempted to establish a new dr. to maintain my pain relief but have been turned away from over 10 now-not to mention the others whom my primary sent records to & they simply denied even an appointment for me. Am wheelchair bound & in extremely obvious pain (deformed arms, knees, back) but here apparently drs. licenses are more important than treating patients. I was actually told by one specialist he wouldn't write me prescriptions because he not want to lose his license. Others simply made excuses why they couldn't take me as a patient client. I had no problems until sept2012 then ...

My patient has recently had two (2) toes removed and he has extreme bad pain in his right foot. If you could help him out and get the right pain medication what would you recommend? ## Ideally, only a qualified physician who's examined the patient in person and reviewed their medical history can make an appropriate judgement call on adequate treatment for something like this. However from a layman's (outside) perspective it would seem that starting off with something mid-level in strength would allow for substantial wiggle room in the dosage and/or type of narcotic analgesic being administered. In my personal opinion based solely off observation (not having had any of my toes removed and can't fathom the amount of pain that might ensue) a moderate dose of hydrocodone appears...

I need a refill until i can get in to see psychitrist... 3week wait:(Please help me;)Anyone Know A Dr Who Will Write Me Adderall Prescription Bellevue Wa ## To be honest, finding a doctor to give it to you in WA, without their having your full medical records and being your regular doctor, is going to be difficult. There is a walk-in medical clinic in Bellevue, have you tried seeking assistance there? Is there some reason you're out, before your appointment? Usually most doctors will schedule appointments around the same time refills are needed. Learn more Adderall information here.

I went to my Dr. and got my refills of oxycodone and my diazepam and recently let my 25 yr old son move back in. It's not allowed to be filled till October 31st. Called Police who said they couldn't do anything. My Dr. couldn't write anyone, SO what do I do? ## Chris, I realize you posted this back on October 22nd and I'm really sorry to hear about what happened, but it sounds like the situation between you and your son should probably be dealt with on a more personal level, considering that he's your roommate. Don't let the tension build up without disclosing your feelings to him, at least for the sake of adding some closure to what took place. If there was any risk of undergoing serious withdrawal symptoms (god forbid), it seems to me that the emergency room wo...

Doctors will not write RX for this anymore. I am allergic to Vicodin, Codeine all sorts of pain meds. Soma always worked for me. I sit with extreme pain; nothing works all = depression; never had depression till whole body turned into pain. Real, overwhelming pain; can't sleep; cannot eat; nausea from pain. ## There are better muscle relaxers than Soma on the market. Many Doctors don't like prescribing Soma as they have had personal experience with this worthless medication. With that said I am lucky my doctor will prescribe it, he is a great man! ## There's too many interactions between Soma opiate drugs and benzodiazepines for doctors to prescribe them as they once were ## I have the exact problem if they won't prescribe soma than the key should have something that wor...

the pharmicst think there god i have been getting them filled for three years now all of a sudden they dont want to fill them same dr same meds im so sick of this ## @big ed, I definitely understand your frustration with these pharmacies. From what others have stated, I get the sense that the DEA is the one controlling how much they hand out and how often they are even able to hand it out. There's really no other logical explanation for pharmacists to freak out about filling patients prescriptions other than the notion that their inventory is probably being strictly monitored by the DEA. What I have yet to figure out is why doctors are even permitted to write so many scripts for it, when only a small percentage of patients are allowed the luxury of getting them filled? Who knows how...

I have an appt. with a new doctor on Thursday (just moved) and am going to see if we can increase my dose from 30mg ir to 30mg xr and 10mg ir for the afternoon. My previous doctor, who is now out of state, wrote me two scripts with "do not fill until" dates so I would have time to find a doctor. I just filled the last one this past week. Obviously, I will tell my new doctor this and have my records faxed to his office. If he does increase my dose/change the type, will he write me a new script for the xr's to be filled? My body doesn't take well to these instant releases anymore-literally crash everyday by noon & feel lethargic the rest of the day with all focus out the window. P.S. I've had my adderall prescriptions filled at Walgreen's religiously forever so...

Please someone tell me something I'm 44 yrs old I m fine driving a distance I just need my pain to be at bay. Thank you ## I need to find a good pain management clinic who takes Medicaid. Found one kind of close by, called and was told, yes, they take Medicaid, but that they will NOT write narcotic scripts for Medicaid patients! Isn't this a form of discrimination?!

I have been taken off soma by my pain doc in Sarasota. Does anyone know a pain doc in Sarasota, Bradenton, St Petersburg or Tampa Florida who still writes them? Skelaxin makes me have nausea & vomiting, on flexeril I fell asleep driving and nearly crashed, baclofen did the same with sleepiness. Please help, I'm so uncomfortable. I was on soma for 17 years. My primary will write them, but won't write my pain meds so I'm stuck. ## Have you asked your primary care doctor about still prescribing them for you, while you receive pain medications elsewhere? Unless you have a pain management contract that forbids it, or are trying to double up on controlled substances, you can receive medications from more than one doctor, at a time. The FDA warns that Soma is commonly abused, a...

I cannot find my medicine for 4 days. I have looked and looked. This house is so big 3 stories high and so much stuff around. I hid them and cannot remember, should I call . my dr. and tell them what happened? I really don't want them to think I'm lying because it would cause some as trouble. I am getting sick an very upset. What should I do? ## If you believe some one has stolen your medication call the police. They will write a report then you take it to the Dr who prescribes the medication. I hope this helps. ## @rocky, In the case of it not being stolen and simply misplaced, I think it would be best to call your doctor first and maybe try to explain what happened in the most honest way possible. Everyone misplaces things from time to time, including medical professionals, so...

Need a Dr who will be lax on writing me a zanex script in the fort worth area. ## With the new laws, you're not likely to have much like finding a doctor that will do so, anymore. There are some new, more strict regulations that went into effect the first of the year that dictates what they can prescribe, when they can prescribe it, how they can prescribe and for how long and they are relevant to most controlled substances. What type of doctor have you been seeing? ## Hi mandyd, I found some helpful advice from another thread on here that I wanted to share with you, in regards to getting a xanax prescription: "Look for a psychiatrist, not a general practitioner, preferably one who specializes in anxiety disorders. I am stuck in a horrible limbo land. My old doctor suspected I may have MS and suggested I see a neurologist. I agreed and had to wait 18 months to make the appointment because I've spent all my money tracking down every symptom over the past 8 years. Now I got in to see the neuro at Barrows but he only said he has to get MRI scan before he write any prescription. That was fine except he never wrote the order and I spent 3 weeks calling and begging. Finally got order but no scan till June. Now this MS has gotten so bad I cannot drive or work, I shake non-stop, The shaking is so bad I have broken 2 teeth in the past 2 weeks, He said it was OK to take xanax for shaking which I did because I had an old script for it from back in 2006. I called his nurse to ask now what since I used the...

'm just out of the army and was a little too close to a mortar explosion in afghan. Since ive gotten out ive found it hard to find a doctor to write me prescriptions for pain meds. Im not talking about 30 mg oxy 15 mg would work I think. I started at this new dr.'s office and je wil not up my dose from 1mg. Klopin and only gives me 45 of them, I told him it's nt holing me so he ups something else. ## I am not sure that anyone can help you, since you didn't post what area you are in. What medication did he adjust, instead of the Klonopin? You have to understand where you doctor is coming from. Klonopin is a Benzodiazepine and due to their addictive nature and how commonly abused they are, it is a controlled substance. This means that he has to account for every single prescription he writes for it, should the FDA or DEA ask questions. If they do not think he had a valid reason for writing the prescription or adjusting the dosage, he could face serious fines, sanctions and the loss of his medical license. Doct...

I am moving to Florida from New Jersey in dec my Dr writes my scripts for oxycodone 15 mg and oxycontin 20 mg for two weeks and gives me both of them post dated to fill 2 weeks later for 2 more weeks bc of my insurance will I have trouble filling the post dated scripts from Jersey in Fl when I get there ? ## Hello, Jamie! How are you? Yes, you most likely won't be able to get them filled. Most pharmacies won't touch out of state prescriptions, because it's much harder to verify their validity. Supply problems have also caused many pharmacies to have to restrict their customer base to only people who live within a certain radius of their store and whose doctors are also located within a certain radius of their store. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be...
