does this pill require a prescription? ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Ibuprofen (800 mg). Low doses of ibuprofen (200 mg, and sometimes 400 mg) are available over the counter (OTC) in most countries. Generally, the oral dose is 200 to 400 mg (510 mg/kg in children) every 46 hours, adding up to a usual daily dose of 800 to 1,200 mg. 1,200 mg is considered the maximum daily dose for over-the-counter use, though under medical direction, the maximum amount of ibuprofen for adults is 800 milligrams per dose or 3200 mg per day (4 maximum doses). Can I take this while taking celexa ## Hi Jeff, From what I've read, taking either of these two medications together can increase your risk of certain adverse effects. Anything from mental impairment and difficulty staying focused, to experiencing sudden dizziness or drowsiness. I don't know how often these types of interactions occur in the percentage of people that do use them together... or at what dosage it becomes severe, but I wouldn't suggest taking any chances without speaking to your doctor first. Perhaps he can make a more informed decision after going over your medical records. I hope this advice helps!

Ha, whoever said Mallinckrodt is better than Qualitest is badly mistaken....The 10mg/325 Norcos by Qualitest are some of the best going....Mallies give people headaches.....I'd give about .50 cents for a 5mg one..... ## The differences people are noticing across one manufacturer to another vary based on so many different factors (i.e. tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, etc) that there is virtually no way to disprove someone's own reasoning / opinion as to why they feel the way they do about one tablet working better or worse than the other. So my thoughts are that whoever said "Mallinckrodt is better than Qualitest" was solely speaking relative to what works for their own body chemistry. I think body chemistry plays a huge ro...

What are these? White pill, no orange specs / white only, football shaped. It has WATSON imprinted on top and 3203 right under a break line and it's scored in the center on the other side. Watson 3203 pill, white with orange specks. Never seen them before today. What are they? ## Orange specks? I've seen pictures of the WATSON 3203 tablets, and they've either been solid white or orange, but not with specks. According to the inscription you posted it should be a pain killer containing Hydrocodone 7.5 mg + Acetaminophen 325 mg (basically a generic Norco). Now, the tablet with WATSON 3202 matches your color description more closely, and is in fact a similar drug containing the same amount of Acetaminophen, but with 5 mg of Hydrocodone instead of 7.5. NDC code 0591-3202. Can I ask which one is it that you are seeing?

Is this a generic norco from walgreens? - white oval pill 2172 scored on back side blank ## will 2172 have the same effect as 3202? how much more friggin' detail do u want? ## @RPMJR, Yes, a white oval pill with 2172 is generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg with a National Drug Code of 0591-2172. Seems like a lot of people here on MedsChat have asked about this pill just within the past couple days so I'm assuming it's a relatively new product and not much info has been posted on the internet. For verification, Actavis Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer. @Mr. Breeze, 2172 and WATSON 3202 are the same drug with the same listed dosage... But as many of us have come to find out, generic drugs tend to vary in efficacy from one tablet to the next. Furthermore,...

Can u take two 800mg ip466 at once? Serious toothache and one pill isn't working! Will it hurt my child since I'm breast feeding ## Hi Relly, Unfortunately, the maximum amount of Ibuprofen for adults is 800 mgs per dose or 3200 mgs per day (equivalent to 4 maximum doses), depending on each individuals response and tolerance. So you'd essentially only be able to take one of those "IP 466" pills at a time (4x daily). If I could recommend something else that may be more effective for your toothache, it would probably be pure vanilla extract and/or clove essential oil. I've used both before and they helped num any sort of pain I had and also alleviated some discomfort. Both of those options contain powerful antibacterial properties (unlike Ibuprofen) that are really ...

What is the difference between the white and orange pill? My RX has switched to the white. I know it's cheaper so it would only make sense that there would be a reason. I also know that it effects me differently. I have noticed nausea and a lot of itching which seems to get worse after the third pill of the day. This means my evenings are very uncomfortable. It's like trading one evil for another. I have a lot of drug allergies so it could just be something small in the ingredients. I also do not tolerate many of the newer synthetic meds. Please advise. ## HI, Kelly! Sorry about the problem you're having. According to the manufacturer, they have only removed the dye from them, because some people were having problems due to being allergic or sensitive to it. However, going b...
