I started taking Althea pills on Aug. 3. My last menses was July 24. At the same time we used a condom on the 3rd of August and always have contact using condoms. Until now I have not had my menses yet. I'm afraid because my menses always comes on the 20th of every month. Any chance of getting pregnant? ## Hello, Belinda! How are you? Have you checked for pregnancy, yet? Regardless of the precautions used, there is always a slight chance of still getting pregnant, if you're engaging in intercourse. Doubling up on the methods used means the chances of that being the problem aren't very high, but better to check and reassure yourself. If you're not pregnant, the delay in your period could be caused by any one of many different factors, from taking the Althea to your just b...

I had my period on Sunday 1/19/2014. I got my pills (tri-previfem) today. Can i start today? I am reading so many different things. ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? You can start them at any time! Your cycle will adjust accordingly. However, if you start them any time past the 2 day of your period, you will need to take them for a full 7 days, without forgetting any, before you are protected from pregnancy, so for that first week, you'd need to use a backup method of contraception. However, if your doctor has provided you with other instructions, then please disregard what I've said and follow them. Is there anything else I can help with?

Today is Wednesday, how ever the start day on the chart is Sunday what should I follow? Is it the first tablet which is Sunday or can I proceed directly to Wednesday? ## Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you should be able to make a clean switch from one to the other, so you can just start Althea on the same day you would normally start a new pack of Trust pills. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. I have not had a period in two months. Not pregnant. Went to doctor yesterday and her prescribed previfem. Since I don't know when my period should start, should I just start them on Sunday? Will it be about 28 days until my period starts? ## Hello, Shelby! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you can start them at any time, it doesn't have to be on a Sunday, and day of the week will be fine. You just won't be protected against pregnancy, until you've been on it for a full week, so you'll need to use a backup form of contraception for the first 7 days. It will actually be about 21 days, give or take. You should have your period that last week. Today is the start of my third day without any pills. Last thing I took was 60mg of Roxy, and a 10mg Methadone, which is far less than I'd normally use in a day. I have my Subs here and wondering when to start them or, if I even should. The only withdrawl symptoms I have at this point are tearing in my eyes, somewhat fidgety/ restlessness, frequent yawning and mild diarehha (spelling). Not sure if the Methadone is holding off most of the symptoms because it is longer acting or what. Not sure if I will even go through withdrawls. I have been using x4 months daily with mostly oxycodone, sometimes loratab, morphine and Methadone. I've been hunkered down waiting for the bulls*** to start but nothing so far. Took a long walk yesterday which eased my anxiety and pushed fluids. Also ta...

This is my first time using the Oralcon. 1. I'm currently breastfeeding my 5 month old baby and I realized when I started the pill my milk production is less. Could the pill be the cause. Also 2. I've taken all 21 of the white pills and I'm on my third red pill and my period is here. Do I stop taking the red pills and start taking another set of white ones or do I continue taking the red pills until its finished before I start another pack? ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? Yes, you should continue taking them and then start a new pack once you finish this one, according to the NIH. I started taking my loestrin pills on Nov 6th of this year, 2016, a week before my period, because i wanted to make sure it took effect three weeks before I got married, Nov 27th. However I took my first pill on a Monday, though it said to start on Sunday. Am I okay? Did I mess up? Will the pills not work correctly if my peroid hasnt happened yet? ## Hello, Lizzy! How are you?
