seem to be getting confused between the differences as I did think both were opiates ## Hello, Todd! How are you? I'm sorry about your confusion and I'm happy to help clear it up for you. Oxycontin contains the opiate Oxycodone in a time released formulation. However, Percocet contains Oxycodone coupled with Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is also available as a regular release formulation and an instant release, called Roxicodone and Oxy IR, respectively. The FDA lists this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been prescribed Belbuca 150 mcgs to take in addition to Percocet 10/325 tid. Should this provide...

What makes these 2 medications different? ## Hello, Lucky! How are you? Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, while Roxicodone only contains the Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The Acetaminophen and Oxycodone combination is also available under the name Roxicet. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What can i ask my dr to give me to take along with my percocet 10s? How are you? They are different medications. Percocet contains Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, while what you've currently been prescribed contains Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen. However, dizziness, nausea and vomiting can be side effects of all narcotic opiates, so you may still experience such symptoms with this one, as well. There is also a...

what is the difference between percocet and vicodin? wanted to know what makes the drugs different don't they do the samething? ## Hello, Glo! How are you? The NIH lists Percocet as containing Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, while Vicodin contains Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen. So yes, they treat the same conditions, but are different medication formulations. Not every medication works for everyone that tries it, so there are usually several available in any given treatment category, thus your doctor can try a different one, if you don't respond to the first you try. The FDA classifies these as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I ca...

What is the difference between these 2 narcotics? Is there any benefit of one over the other? ## Tramacet contains the two active ingredients Acetaminophen + Tramadol; which you can take a look at by following the link below... Percocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen + Oxycodone. Very similar to Tramacet. To view information on these two ingredients please follow the link below... As you can see from the active ingredients listed above, Tramadol and Oxycodone seem to make the difference between these two narcotics. I personally don't believe either one has any benefit over the other, but it would all depend on how your body copes with the slight difference in each one that determines which one suits you best. Do you have any more questions or concerns? If so, please p...

What is the difference between percocet ip204 and percocet? ## Hello, Reb! How are you? Both of these tablets contain 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so the only difference is that they've been manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generic medications. When more than one company manufactures a medication, it creates market competition to help keep prices lower. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

my Dr has changed my medication fron norco to percocet, and now my feet and ankles are swelling severely. What is the difference between hydrocodone and oxycodone? ## They are both narcotic analgesics, however, the Oxycodone is stronger than they Hydrocodone. Oxycodone, by itself, doesn't usually cause peripheral edema, however, it could be the Acetaminophen, since it can sometimes cause people to retain fluids and, if that is what is causing it, it would have also happened with the Norco. Have you consulted your doctor? Whenever edema occurs, it is very important to discover what is causing it, since it can be a sign of other serious medical conditions. Even swelling of the feet and legs can be a sign of congestive heart failure. ## This isn't listed as a common side effect in ...

I was taking hydrocodone 7.750 now they have me on norco 10/325. I don't feel that the new medication is working as well, I get really upset stomach aches and also takes long to heal my pain which I have two bad disc the pain is so bad like if I'm about to give birth or if someone is tearing my back apart, can somebody help me please. ## All of these are opiate analgesics, but Tramadol is the weakest of what you've listed, Hydrocodone would be next and Oxycodone is the strongest of these. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, if the Norco isn't working, you may want to speak to your doctor about trying Oxycodone or Percocet, which combin...

What is the difference between Norco, Percocet and Lortab? I have a script for all three. I have cancer and wondered which one is the strongest. I don't need all three pain meds if one is better than the other. Thank you. ## Hey CLM, the Norco and Lortab both contain the active ingredient hydrocodeine so basically the same medicine just different brand name. Unless they are a different dose 5/325 vs 10/325 then they are the exact same medication. Percocet contains oxycodone as the active narcotic and is stronger than the other two you mentioned. One may work better than the other for you personally but Percocet is the stronger of them. I hope this helps and the best of luck! ## Sorry for the typo, norco and lortab contain hydrocodone ## Lortab, and Norco both contain Acetaminophen, ...

Can anyone tell me the difference between percocet pills M & A. I'm about to b prescribed them by my Dr. But have heard horror stories of people ending up HOOKED! Is one of them better than the other to NOT get hooked please help quick so I can ask Dr. For one or other. wha is the diference between naproxeno sodium 550mg and percocet ## The primary difference notable between these two medications is that Percocet contains a narcotic pain reliever in addition to Acetaminophen. Naproxen is just Naproxen, without anything else. To put this into perspective, Naproxen in and of itself is not nearly as potent as Oxycodone, let alone the combination of Acetaminophen + Oxycodone (Percocet). I believe choosing one over the other all depends on what your pain management needs are and whether or not Naproxen on its own can meet those requirements. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERCOCET M357 AND PERCOCET 512 ## M357 is NOT percocet, it is a different class of narcotic pain reliever called lorcet or hydrocodone. it is a generic version and not as strong as a perc 5/12 ## That is correct, M357 contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Hydrocodone, so this is not an equivelent to Percocet, but, as stated above, a generic for Vicodin or Lortab. It is still a narcotic pain reliever, but not as strong as those containing Oxycodone. This pill marked 512 contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone and is a generic for Percocet.
