difference between hydrocodone and hydrocloride ## I am not certain exactly what you mean by this. Hydrocodone Bitarate is a narcotic analgesic, used to treat severe pain. A hydrochloride just signifies that something is a salt of that particular substance, such as Pyridine Hydrochloride. So, medically they are unrelated. Do you have any other questions? ## I find that whenever I buy a medication or a vitamin I have to check if it contains hydrochloride.. if it does I have to avoid it because within a couple of days I have a terrible burning sensation in my gut apart from zantac and slippery elm is there anything else I can do to ease the pain ...

What is hydrochloride? Is it time release or is it just to keep the pill togeather? I've taken other percecets and they never said hydrochloride in them. ## Hello, SweetPea! How are you? It just designates the specific chemical salt that the Oxycodone was derived from, so it's actually Oxycodone Hydrochloride. Though you don't see it listed on all prescription levels, all medications do including such chemical designations in the names. This tablet contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. It is listed by the FDA as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
