dr.said rheumatic pain.i have 8month . i take x ray dr.said nothing bone was good.but took per day 3time olfen tablet pain releve thate time onely.any side effect will come ## It's really a nonspecific term used to describe medical problems that cause pain and inflammation in the joints and connective tissue. Olfen contains the active ingredient Diclofenac, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory commonly used to treat these types of conditions. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irriation. However, if you only took it once and didn't have any problems, then it is doubtful that you will. Do you have any other questions?

Is Hydrocodone Apap 10/325 good for pain? ## That would be the narcotic Hydrocodone, and 10mgs is the most you can get these in, and Acetaminophen 325mgs, A narcotic analgesic. The APAP is just doc and pharmacy speak for Acetaminophen, sometimes these are prescribed to have the Aceta help with pain and inflammation, otherwise, it pretty much just helps them keep the drug on a prescription controlled substance schedule III or IV. There are considered generics for meds such as Anexsia, Hydrocet, Lortab and many others. Hydo and Apap Info Click Here

I have cold for last one week, and it's getting worth. I have mussle ach, throat pain, and a little fever. Does Sulfameth Trimethoprim work for such symptons? ## Hi AJ, Sorry to say, but Antibiotics in general will not work for colds, flu, and other viral infections. For such symptoms I would suggest looking into more natural alternatives, such as: Raw Honey + Tea - for throat pain/inflammation Lavender Essential Oil - for any muscle aches Plenty of water + Fruits & Veggies - for the fever Many fruits and Vegetables have natural healing properties that can help get your body's temp back to normal in very little time at all (if this is all you're eating for the most part). I also believe the therapeutic properties of honey, tea, and lavender will be of great benefit. I ho...

I have always had normal cholesterol but a year ago was diagnosed with a 40 percent blockage of carotid artery. I started taking atorvastatin 20 mg and this past March my new doc raised it to 40 mg. A month ago I started getting joint pain all over. My internist ran blood tests and I was negative for Lyme and RA. However, blood tests showed some indication I have inflammation possibly related to some form of arthritis. I will be seeing a rheumatologist very soon. Could atorvastatin be the cause? ## Hello, Isabel! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. And yes, these statin medications are very well known for causing joint and muscle pain as a side effect. In some cases, it's been so severe that the people had to stop taking the medication. Thus, there's a good chanc...

I've been on pain medications by mouth and patch for some years now and they don't help my back pain any longer. Does anyone know of a good medication for pain and inflammation? I'm currently on 20mg of methadone 3X a day. ## A morphine implant. Or fentanyl patch. ## Donna in pain, what does your dr say ? Does he not want to increase your Methadone ? ## Hi Donna, I see that you have a couple questions pending from others already... but in regards to fighting inflammation, I would encourage you to research herbal supplements like turmeric + black pepper combinations; black pepper significantly increases turmeric's efficacy. The reason I even mention something natural like this is because my understanding is that it may have a direct healing effect on the underlying cause ...

I have been on Meloxicam 15mg for about 2 weeks for neck and shoulder pain, believed to be caused from arthritis. It has helped alot compared to the pain I was in before I started it. I just wanted to know if it is habit forming? I take the Meloxicam in the evening but I take Lasix in the morning, is this ok that these are both taken but at different times? Thank you. ## I was on Meloxicam for 3 months and was attacking my stomach..I ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with Gastritis. .a inflammation of the stomach, odd because it's an inflammatory. I went off it cold turkey immediately and dI'd not have withdrawl at all. Everyone is different though, good luck.. ## Hello, Tracy! How are you? And thanks to Catherine for her response. Wife has RA and has tried many different NSAIDs to relieve pain and reduce swelling. We don't want to take the standard RA Meds as the side effects are bad as well. Due to intense pain a few nights ago, I let her use some of my hydrocodone with acetaminophen and woke up feeling better than she had in months. What part of the drug is responsible for reducing the inflammation and then the pain to allow her to use her hands and walk. Are there other options we should look at for her pain/inflammation? Many of the NSAIDs haven't worked effectively for her. ## Hello, Todd! How are you and your wife? It could be that this is a good medication for her and she may need to ask her doctor about trying it. Was it the combination with Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen? It does take opiates to h...

Are they good for anxiety and how often can I take them??? ## Based on my research, I don't think this medication would be beneficial for someone with anxiety. Dolo Neurobion Forte contains the following active ingredients: Diclofenac Sodium 37.5 mg Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Nitrate) 100 mg Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 5 mg Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 100 mg / ml Diclofenac, being a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for pain and inflammation, would have no real effect on someone's ability to cope with anxiety. So other than examining the possible nutritive properties of B-vitamins, you may want to talk with your doctor or psychiatrist about other alternatives for anxiety. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Diclofenac Details I hope this helps!...

A doctor in mexico prescribed this for a rash i had on the back of my hand. I used the cream for a month till i could not see the rash anymore. Once i stopped using it, the rash tried to come back. Fortunately the rash slowly went away on its own after about 6 months. It's summer time now and appears the rash has completely went away. I hope so but continue to monitor it. ## I am using this medicine for ulcers on my legs and so far it is doing a good job. I live in Missouri. ## Thanks to you both for sharing your experiences with this cream. I have been subscribed Progenix tablet by my doctor. Can you check and let me know what is the need for this tablet and its side effects? ## Hello, Unfortunately I haven't come across any information for a medication by the name of Progenix. Could you have meant Progenex perhaps? If so, Progenex is a pharmaceutical company that formulates a supplement called "Progenex Omega +". The supplement contains krill oil, astaxanthin (a powerful antioxidant), calamari oil, and Vitamin D3. This supplement is used to increase your overall energy, reduce oxidative stress and fight inflammation, boost good cholesterol (HDL) as well as reduce triglycerides and bad cholesterol (LDL), decrease inflammation and muscle soreness, reduce joint pain and prevent injuries (which may be due to overw...

I was recently prescribed Butrans patches, 10 mg. and they are to remain on for 7 days at a time. What no one told me, and this is important, as HOT baths help my pain, when patches and pills don't quite do it, is that a hot bath can cause the patch to release more medicine than is safe or intended, and can result in death. I take the Norco 10s 3x day instead of 4, because the Butrans is supposed to help fill in. I do not want to risk my life for pain control, but pain is the one thing I can't control by myself. What would be a good solution to that patch? I wore one for 7 days before I found out how dangerous it is. I need my hot baths, so now what can I do? I take ibuprofen for the inflammation, also. ## Hello, Shuri! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you'r...

Knowing that generic pharmaceutical manufacturers can vary principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20%), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be beneficial for others in situations like or similar to mine. As a result of a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a ventral incision below navel and two dorsal incisions on either side of lumbar spine in order to install the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing their are a good...

My doctor prescribed Lyrica for pain I was having from a back issue, and after one day on this drug my hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles and feet were so swollen I could not function. I couldn't even cut my food or walk more than a few steps. Both my wife and I thought I wouldn't live out the month. After being seen by several doctors I was told I was having an acute auto immune response and was put on prednisone. After two months now the swelling is improving and the dosage of steroids is going down, but I still take them or the inflammation returns. This is the first time in my life I have had any bad reaction to any drug. I regret having taken this and hope this condition isn't permanent. ## Jason, Oh my goodness!! I can't do Lyrica either, and I am lucky that I di...

I suffer from pain in both knees. I also suffer from pain in my left ankle region which my doctor tells me is due to "inflammation". He has prescribed me Altraday - 1 tablet every night at bed time for 5 nights and says it should not be taken too often. I do not get a clear answer from him on how often is "too often". I have experimented on my own and found that 1 tablet a day gives me good relief from pain for the first 24 hours and somewhat reduced relief for the next 24 hours. On this basis, if I continue to take one tablet of Altrday every alternate day on long term basis, I hope to lead a much better life. Is it OK, or do you have any suggestions? ## Hello, Ritinkar! is keprocaine cream good for knee pain and inflamation ## Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what little bit of information I could gather, Keprocaine cream is a topical pain cream with the following active ingredients: Ketoprofen - nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Baclofen - used to treat muscle spasms and tightness Cyclobenzaprine - skeletal muscle relaxant Lidocaine - local anesthetic With that said, I do believe it could be beneficial for knee pain and inflammation. Additionally, I would also highly recommend looking into "hyaluronic acid injections" for knee pain, as I've heard some great things about its effectiveness. I hope this helps!
