I have "gle" on my prescription. It literally says "Gabapentin 600mg TAB GLE". It normally says Gabapentin 600mg TAB MET. I believe it's the abbreviation for the manufacturer, but I'd like to be sure before I take them, as they are a different shape. ## Hi Pattie, My research leads me to believe that GLE stands for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals or Glenmark Generics, the packager/manufacturer of your Gabapentin. NDC: 68462-0126 Inactive Ingredients: Inactive Ingredients: -Starch, Corn -Copovidone K25-31 -Poloxamer 407 -Magnesium Stearate -Polyethylene Glycols -Hypromelloses -Titanium Dioxide -Talc -Polysorbate 80 -Water You can view an image of the packaging label by visiting the link below: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=3865a6e3-112c-490c-82ac-3540...

My script is labeled "Oxycodone Tab 5mg RHO Generic For Roxicodone 5MG TAB". What does the RHO stand for? ## Hello, Denny! How are you? The RHO is an abbreviation for the manufacturer, Rhodes Pharmaceuticals. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have three same issue my script use to say oxycodone 15mg Hcl now it says RHO in place of the Hcl. I find it extremely strange. That it all of a sudden changed ## I was told rho was that it didn't have Ibprofein which to much of that is not good for your liver. so the rho doesnt have additives that could give you liver trouble. I have trouble telling the difference between my 25 mg tablet of metoprolo by Ranbaxy and my 5 mg tablet of prednisone by West-Ward. How can I easily tell the difference when in my pill case? ## Take a closer look at the imprints on them, the imprints are on the tablets and usually placed on most prescriptions labels, as well. The 25mg Metoprolol from Ranbaxy should have the marking RE 79 on it. The 5mg Prednisone has the marking WEST-WARD 475. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just because you're taking generics doesn't mean that you cannot ask for the same generic company for your meds. Perhaps you could ask your doc to Rx both meds from the same generic company. The Metropolol and the pred 5 from Ranbaxy (for example) do not look alike.

Given to me by Pharmacy 12 December. My usual Enalapril Maleate Ta 10mg (ACE) pill is a light salmon coloured triangular shaped pill. I fear I have been given wrong medication. Shall go back to the chemists. ## Hello, Annie! How are you? This is a generic medication, which means it's manufactured by quite a few different companies, so your pharmacy most likely just provided you with a different one that you used to receive. But yes, please check with them to be sure if you're worried. Are there any markings on the tablet?

could be older wockhardt/ ranbaxy.need to find out if these are really what they are labeled.are they ranitidine ? ## Yes, these tablets contain 150mgs of Ranitidine, the active ingredient in Zantac, I even have a couple of sample packages that my pharmacist gave me that have this exact pill in them. I use Pepcid/Famotidine and to get them on the $4 list, which is a lot cheaper than the over the counter price for the amount I take, I had to wait for my pharmacy to order them in for me. So, he gave me several of these to use in the meantime. Ranitidine is a histamine H2 receptor agonist that is used to inhibit stomach acid production, to treat conditions such as heartburn, GERD and gastritis. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness and stomach pain. Learn more: Are there any ...

It is round and white with RP at the top and on the bottom part 111 and on the back just a line going across and it's big and thick. I was told it was a generic over counter pain relief pill made by the company "Dr choice". ## I located a round pink tablet with RP on the top and 111 on the bottom of one side & just a score line on the back of the pill. The issue is that my finding is pink and your description is white. Name: Gas Relief RS (simethicone) Dosage: 80mg Imprint: RP 111 Shape: Round Color: Pink Labeler: CVS Pharmacy, Inc. My only guess is that by "pain relief", it meant "pain caused by excess gas", but if in doubt I would still encourage you to bring this pill you have into your local pharmacy for a second opinion. Hope this helps!

On our prescription label for sotalol hcl tabs, the sequence aptx2 appears in the bottom right hand corner. What does this sequence mean? ## What manufacturer named APTX2 makes generic atorvastatin? ## I think it is this Canadian company. Apotex. apotex.com/us/en/products/search.asp?qt=All&qs=&t=All%20Products ## Jim is right. I just got on their website. I have just been changed to this generic and have a suspicion that it is what is causing my recent brain fog and fatigue. The website does not tell what country it is made in.The fact that Canada is where the company is does not mean that that is where it was made. I did not feel this way when taking the former generic I was on or when I was on Lipitor. Has anyone else had trouble with this drug? ## That stands for the manufact...

How are you? 15, that's what the 7.5-325/15 means on the label, that's the dosage you get in 15mls, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 5 mls is 1 teaspoon. 1 teaspoon of this med is 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/325 Acetaminophen. ## if 5 mls is 1 teaspoon, than the 15 would refer to 3 teaspoons equaling the actual dosage of 7.5-325. Purdue Pharma website has official statement on reformulation of Oxycontin. They claim there is no difference in effectiveness between old OC and new OP labeled pills. They quote The reformulation has met FDA criteria for bioequivalence to the original formulation, which means there is no significant difference in the rate and extent of absorption of the therapeutic ingredient. Then they go on to say, Purdue elected to reformulate OxyContin® to be bioequivalent to the original formulation and in an effort to make the tablet more difficult to manipulate for the purpose of intentional misuse and abuse, however, there is no evidence that the reformulation of OxyContin is less subject to misuse, abuse, diversion, overdose or addiction. what does it mean when the doctor puts clonazepam 0.5 mg tab TEV? what does the TEV mean? ## Will if you are being prescribed Clonazepam then that's the generic med, and the TEV would probably stand for the manufacturer TEVA Pharmaceuticals. I could be wrong but right now that's the only thing that would make sense to me... ## I agree, that seems to be the only thing that makes sense, that is not a normal abbreviation used in a scrip. Perhaps the doctor recommends that generic brand, some companies with poor quality control have proven to be unreliable and have unreliable meds, so he might want the pharmacy to try and provide you with Teva's generic as they have proven to be effective and reliable, more so than several other companies. ## Teva has started showing on my label...

I am prescribed tramadol every 4-6 hours, 1 tablet or as needed. I do take what I am asked plus an extra if needed because of my back pain. I'm currently on my last 3 and am prescribed 60. Is this a 30 day supply and am I able to get refilled? I just need to know so I can know whether or not to ask for another refill or not if I should wait until the 9th of next month or not? ## Glittergirl, First of all your tramadol is a prn order, meaning to be taken ONLY WHEN NEEDED, NOT AROUND THE CLOCK DOSING. Your labeling instructions are ambiguous. A BID order of 60 should last 30 days. This rx like others can be habit forming so doctors prescribe them with a degree of caution. You should only take direction from your prescribing professional or a RPh if unavailable. This class of drugs has...

small round white tablet one side has line going thru the middle other side is blank, it is a diuretic i think, also comes from Ireland ## there must be some imprint of letters and or numbers on one side. please look again. ## If you are just looking for furosemide info, here: Furosemide Info Click Here If it is from Ireland there is a good chance it is not in our databases, though it wouldn't hurt to look. Without the imprint though, as nenene asked you for, we can't confirm that this is what it is. ## I'm fairly sure you mean Furosemide though ## I ordered Furosemide and what I got (mailed from India) is Frusemide.
